PS
Prateek Sharma Posted On : July 3rd, 2023
studied at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani

If BITS Pilani is your dream school but your financial background is not letting you join it, rest assured. BITS Pilani has provisions for 2 kinds of scholarships.

  • Merit cum need: This scholarship is based on your grades as well as family income. You can get a 60-80% fee concession depending on your grades.
  • Merit scholarship: This scholarship is solely based on merit.

Additionally, many banks offer educational loans at low-interest rates at BITS Pilani. You just have to show your BITS ID card as security and loan repayment time is long enough (minimum 4-6 years). On average, you can repay this loan within 2-3 months and thus it’s the best way out.

SK
Sanjana Kapoor Posted On : September 19th, 2023
Lives in New Delhi

Yes, DTU is a Tier-1 college. The engineering institute has been ranked 29th position among the top engineering colleges in India by NIRF. This can be justified with the following reasons:

  • Reputation: DTU has a strong reputation for engineering and technical education. This institute ranked 29th among the top engineering students of Delhi. DTU was ranked 2nd by Times Engineering Rankings 2021 and achieved 7th position in India Today’s Best Engineering Government Colleges survey for 2021.
  •  Flexible learning: Through initiatives like MOOC and SWAYAM, DTU also makes sure that students learn the fundamentals of education.
  • Notable alumni: Vijay Shekar Sharma (founder of Paytm), Suhail Sameer (CEO of Bharatpe), and many more eminent personalities are notable alumni of this organization.
  • Placement Opportunities: DTU has a proven track record of placing its graduates in prestigious companies both domestically and abroad. The maximum package available from DTU was INR 1.8 CPA, while the average package was INR 15.16 LPA.

Therefore, from the perspective of engineering and technology education in India, you can categorize DTU as a tier 1 college. However, it's crucial to remember that a college's perceived standing or tier might be arbitrary.

M.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (2019)

To apply for an IIT Bombay internship, you need to first know your area of interest. Go to the official website of IIT Bombay and find out the list of professors who are working in that domain. If you like their research and want to do an internship, write a formal mail to them expressing your interest. In the mail, you should mention why you are interested in an internship with him. Mention any current or past research work you have done.

Why do most top scoring JEE students join IIT Bombay?

PG
Pratik Gandhi Posted On : March 23rd, 2023
B.Tech. CSE, IIT Bombay

There are a number of reasons why most engineering aspirants prefer IIT Mumbai as their graduation college over other IITs. And I have listed some aspects of IIT Mumbai, that dream is superior to other IITs.

  • Location: One can never ignore the plethora Of opportunities in a Metro Politan, you get to socialize and make more contacts, explore, and gain a much better experience.
  • Safety: Bombay is a much safer city in comparison to Delhi. More students. Feel safe to explore the city late at night which is not possible in the case of Delhi, the city is brimming with crime.
  • Academic rigor: IIT Bombay has a rather flexible curriculum in comparison to other IITs. The recent introduction of Honors and minor systems has made it possible for students to study as per their need. This helps the students to utilize their freedom Efficiently through extracurricular activities or inculcating new skills.
  • Campus life: It is always lively with some or the other extracurricular Activities conducted by clubs and committees. This helps in the holistic Development of the student And they don’t have to just focus on academics.
  • Food: Another distinguishing feature is the availability of both north and South Indian food mainly because of its central location. On the contrary, IIT Delhi provides cheap South Indian food and IIT Madras provides cheap north Indian food. At IIT Bombay, you can satisfy your taste buds with almost any cuisine.
  • One cannot deny the fact that IIT Bombay has become the most preferred IIT mainly because of its reputation and the chief mentality adopted by engineering aspirants.

These points sum up why in my opinion, IIT Bombay is a preferable option to other IITs not only because it is popular among Engineering students, but because it deserves the reputation it has today.

  3. The faculty at BHU is very supportive. A tie between Amazon and BHU for sponsored labs on campus has allowed students to be better exposed to current technologies and innovations
  4. For students who are interested in core domains, there are plenty of companies that visit the campus for core placements, including PSUs
