Between IIIT Allahabad, IIIT Delhi, DTU, NSIT, DAIICT, NIT Calicut, which college should I choose for pursuing CS ?
My cousin graduated from DTU in CS. According to him, these institutions can be ranked for CS in the following order-
- DTU
- NIT Calicut
- IIIT Allahabad
- NSIT (now NSUT)
- IIIT Delhi
- DAIICT
DTU is considered one of the best Indian institutions for CS. Therefore, you should go for DTU if you get the opportunity. Every technical society at DTU, be it IEEE, ASME, CSI, IET, or even the small ones, gives great value to coding competitions. Thus, coding classes and competitions are held on a regular basis.
For those who want to work on real-use-productive coding instead of passive-competitive coding, there are many opportunities at DTU. DTU has several societies, and there are student entrepreneurs who are always in dire need of talented coders.
DTU also has a locational advantage. Being situated in the capital of India, it offers students great opportunities and exposure, not just industrial but of all types. Gurgaon is the IT hub and since you will spend 4 years of student life in Delhi, if you land a job in Gurgaon after graduating, you will have been accustomed to the region by that time.
The seniors at DTU are helpful and there is a strict anti-ragging policy on campus. The faculty consists of learned and helpful professors. The non-tech placements are also quite good at DTU.
DTU has huge brand value, long-standing history, and it is the mother of a lot of great colleges.
NIT Calicut is a good choice as well because it has a good placement record and an impressive infrastructure. In terms of location, however, DTU, NSUT, and IIIT Delhi are at an advantage.

If you are looking for the best college for CS then go for DTU among the aforementioned institutes. Although all the colleges will offer great opportunities, DTU has an upper hand in certain areas.
- DTU has an amazing coding culture. Students of every branch be it CS or EP are involved in coding at some level.
- Technical societies like IEEE, ASME, CSI, and IET organize a number of coding competitions to ensure the active participation of the students.
- DTU has a number of entrepreneurs who are on the lookout for coders. So here, you will not only learn coding but also implement it.
- Its location plays a big role in improving its brand value and opportunities.

Which college is better, SASTRA or Amrita?
One of my seniors from school is an alumnus of Amity University and he was very satisfied with the BBA program of the university. He completed his course with ease with a bit of smart work.
- The BBA course aims to prepare the students for a life in management in business after successful completion of the degree. The faculty would be productive if the students are proactive in their approach.
- Amity University gives ample opportunities to the students for growth if they are willing to take the initiative.
- The university is somewhat expensive and the return on investment leaves a lot to be desired. If you are looking forward to BBA then you should start preparing for MBA from the first year itself. Most companies that visit the campus in the hopes of recruiting BBA students are BPOs or KPOs.
Overall, Amity is a decent option for a BBA degree.
Which college is better? KJ Somaiya or DJ Sanghvi?
DJ Sanghvi is better than KJ Somaiya. It boasts of a brilliant faculty. Many of the professors are well-known authors and have written reputed technical books. They have in-depth knowledge and years of experience in their respective fields. DJ Sanghvi placements are good. According to the recent placement highlights, students receive an average CTC of around INR 9.05 LPA.
DJ Sanghvi has a mixed student crowd. You will get to meet all types of people on campus.
Which is better: CSE at the MNNIT Allahabad or IT at IIIT Allahabad

Is AIIMS Bhopal better than AIIMS Bhubaneswar??
The academics at all the AIIMS are the same. However, AIIMS Bhubaneswar follows a strict and tight academic schedule with weekly tests and quizzes to keep students on their toes. To help them prepare better for the final professional exams. While, AIIMS Bhopal follows a liberal approach, although the weekly tests are not conducted students must know that semester exams are always tough.
Both AIIMS Bhopal and AIIMS Bhubaneswar offer an annual intake of 125 seats for the MBBS program through merit in NEET UG. The Round 1 opening rank for MD/MS courses at AIIMS Bhopal in the INI CET 2024 January Session stood at 46 and 43 at AIIMS Bhubaneswar for General Category students. Admission is quite competitive at both AIIMS Bhopal and AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
The placement opportunities at AIIMS Bhopal and AIIMS Bhubaneswar are quite good for MBBS students and MD/MS students. Here are the median packages secured at both institutions:

The median package for MBBS during AIIMS Bhubaneswar Placement 2023 has not yet been released on the official website. However, the median package in 2022 stood at INR 13 LPA. Students at AIIMS Bhubaneswar were offered a median package of INR 15 LPA in 2023 placements.
AIIMS Bhopal Placement 2023 was concluded for MBBS and MD/MS students. The median package offered to MBBS stood at INR 13.3 LPA and MD/MS students stood at INR 18 LPA.
Although, AIIMS Bhopal and AIIMS Bhubaneswar offer the best education and infrastructure. AIIMS Bhopal is better in terms of placements compared to AIIMS Bhubaneswar. As per NIRF 2023 reports, the median package offered to MD/MS Students at AIIMS Bhopal is 16.6% greater than that at AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
What is the difference between SOL and regular college in DU?
There is no difference between the courses followed by SOL at the University of Delhi. However, once the semester system was started in the regular colleges under the University, some differences have been seen. There is nothing to worry about, though. The syllabus of SOL is good.
The courses offered in SOL are year wise whereas the coursework of the regular colleges is semester-wise. SOL is basically for those candidates who are also employed. All the processes are carried out online. It offers courses like M.A., M.Com, B.Com (Hons.), etc.
What should I opt for: BM in XLRI or HRM in XLRI?
It depends on your interest, whether you want a career in BM or HRM.
XLRI BM -
- You will get to choose your specialization, after exploring different areas.
- XLRI placements are great for BM, both in Finance and Marketing.
- You will get to learn the ropes of Business management from some of the best minds in the field, such as Prof. Sarin.
- The placement and exposure in Marketing are excellent. MAXI or the Marketing Association of XLRI is one of the oldest committees in the country.
XLRI HRM -
- XLRI HRM program is the best HRM program in the Asia Pac region.
- The faculties are best in the field.
- As a student of XLRI HRM, you will get good exposure and placements.
- According to the recent XLRI placement highlights, HRM students usually receive an average CTC of around INR 23-25 LPA.
Other than these, you will also enjoy the perks of studying in one of the top B-Schools in the country.
Everyone says K J Somaiya is better than TAPMI in all terms. Still, TAPMI is ahead of K J in rankings by almost every magazine or site. Why?
TAPMI is considered to be much better than K J Somaiya. I can say this because my brother has completed his education from TAPMI and I have some friends who have studied in K J Somaiya.
- TAPMI has been AACSB accredited for the past few years now. It's not that simple for colleges to attain and maintain that accreditation. TAPMI is ahead in rankings because it deserves to be ranked above K J Somaiya.
- K J Somaiya provides courses for a lesser amount of money as compared to TAPMI and this is one of the major reasons why people tend to get confused between TAPMI and K J Somaiya.
- Both K J Somaiya and TAPMI are considered to be Tier 2 colleges in India. TAPMI has been able to make students good leaders.
- The only advantage that K J Somaiya has over TAPMI is the location. K J Somaiya is situated In Mumbai which can be of great benefit for many students.
- TAPMI has helped over 400 students to get placed every year. The average package offered by companies to students of TAPMI comes around to be INR 10.6 Lakhs per annum. Some top recruiters of TAPMI include Deloitte, Microsoft, and Salesforce.
- The campus and infrastructure of TAPMI are also a lot better than K J Somaiya.
Hence, TAPMI is better than K J Somaiya and deserves a better ranking in magazines and websites.
