The West Bengal NEET PG Counselling 2025 for admission to MD, MS, DNB, and PG Diploma courses has been officially postponed until further notice. The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WB MCC) announced this decision due to ongoing changes and updates required in the seat matrix for postgraduate medical admissions.

The original counselling process was initiated with a set seat matrix, but soon after the Round-1 counselling started, authorities received critical information from the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the National Board of Examinations (NBE).

According to these updates, there have been changes in the number of available postgraduate seats.

NBE withdrew the 169 DNB seats, and there were modifications in the PG seat allocations shared by the NMC.

Faced with these changes, the competent authorities found it necessary to revise the seat matrix. The revision process involves removing the excess seats listed initially and reapplying the roster system to maintain the reservation policies in strict compliance with the information bulletin issued for Round 1 choice filling.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) for the Government of India is actively engaged in this revision of the seat matrix.

The MCC web portal will soon host the updated counselling schedule and the revised seat matrix once the necessary adjustments have been finalised.

The WB MCC website (wbmcc.nic.in) is the authorised platform for the latest updates, notifications, and counselling schedules.

The postponement notice was officially issued on November 6, 2025, by the Medical Counselling Committee, Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.

The WB NEET PG Counselling 2025 for MD, MS, DNB, and PG Diploma admissions has been postponed until further notice due to the revision of the postgraduate seat matrix. Candidates must await the release of the revised counselling schedule on the official WB MCC website.
