For B.Tech, Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects in Class 12. PG admission requires graduation with a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant discipline. BCA/B.Sc (CS/IT/Math) graduates with 50% marks can apply for direct second-year MCA entry.
VGUCET Scholarship Structure
VGUCET scores determine scholarship eligibility for the 2026–27 session. Scholarships apply to the full duration of the course, provided the student maintains a minimum 6 SGPA each semester. Only one scholarship — the highest applicable — is awarded per student. Scholarships are not applicable to PhD and LLM (1-Year) programs.
| VGUCET Score Band | Scholarship (%) |
|---|---|
| 60% to 70% | 10% |
| 70% to 75% | 15% |
| 75% to 80% | 20% |
| 80% to 90% | 25% |
| 90% and above | 30% |
Over Rs. 50 crore in total scholarships are disbursed annually by VGU across merit, sports, alumni, single-girl-child, and defence-family categories.
VGU runs VGUCET in multiple phases across the year. Students appearing in Phase I (April to May) are eligible for higher scholarship bands, including up to 100% tuition waiver. Scholarship percentages reduce in later phases. Today's exam phase is among the final opportunities to access top-tier scholarship slabs for the 2026–27 session.
