TN NEET 2025 Round 2 Counselling Ongoing for 85% State Quota; Seat Allotment on Sep 24

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Chennai, has announced the Round 2 counselling dates for NEET UG 2025 on the official website. Students seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses through NEET UG scores can check the schedule at tnmedicalselection.net.

Round 2 counselling is for candidates who have qualified for NEET UG 2025 and are applying for 85% of the state quota medical and dental seats in Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu NEET round 2 counselling 2025 is being conducted for GQ (GR 001 TO GR 39853) and MQ (GR 001 TO GR 28279) or NEET marks of GQ (665 TO 113) or MQ (641 TO 113).

Candidates who wish to upgrade their seat in Round 2 must give up their Round 1 seat and accept the new allotment, as they will no longer have any rights over the earlier seat. All students should carefully fill out and lock their choices online by September 22, 2025; otherwise, their choices will be automatically locked. Once allotted, candidates must download their provisional allotment order and report to the allotted college with original certificates for verification.

Students who did not get a seat in Round 1 of TN NEET 2025 counselling must register again for Round 2. However, those who were allotted a seat in Round 1 but did not join do not need to register for Round 2.
