New Delhi: Central University of South Bihar has been ranked A++ ranking, being the first university in the state with the same. The institute encompasses 11 academic schools and 25 academic departments.

Earlier, the Central University of South Bihar also received an ‘A’ rating from the national body during the first phase of evaluation and certification in 2017.

CUSB Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kameshwar Nath, attributed the University’s achievement to the CUSB Faculty members, students, staff, and officers.

“It is a rare example of collective commitment for our entire team. At the same time, now we have a bigger responsibility of matching up to the high standards we have set…the university will not only be able to revive the old glory of Nalanda and Vikramshila but will also be able to establish itself in global rankings”, said the VC.

NAAC, an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC), is responsible for evaluating and accrediting higher education institutions in India. The council takes various parameters to provide the ratings such as curriculum, teaching methodologies, research output, infrastructure, student support services, etc.

CUSB was created under the central university act 2009 and started from rented houses in Patna in 2012, and now encompasses 11 academic schools and 25 academic departments, with approximately 180 teachers providing world-class education. Since its inception, the Central University of South Bihar has steadily grown in stature, earning recognition for its academic programs and research endeavors.
