MCC Releases NEET MDS 2026 Round 2 Seat Matrix; Check Choice Filling Last Date

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2026 Round 2 seat matrix on the official portal at mcc.nic.in. The matrix covers All India Quota, Deemed Universities, and Central Universities in three separate PDFs.

Participating institutes verified the tentative seat matrix on September 14, 2026. The final documents were uploaded on September 16, 2026. Candidates must consult the matrix before locking their choices for the second round.

Categories Covered Under Round 2

The MCC conducts Round 2 counselling for 50 percent of the All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government dental colleges. It also covers 100 percent seats of Deemed Universities and Central Universities. Seats under the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) are part of this round as well. State quota seats fall outside MCC and are handled by state authorities.

Three separate PDFs have been uploaded on the MCC portal. One lists AIQ dental college seats. The second lists Central University seats. The third document covers all Deemed University seats with specialisation-wise vacancy.

How to Check the NEET MDS Round 2 Seat Matrix?

Follow these steps to access the seat matrix PDFs on the MCC portal.

1. Visit the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in.
2. Click on the MDS Counselling tab on the homepage.
3. Open the current events section for NEET MDS 2026 Round 2.
4. Click on the seat matrix link for AIQ, Deemed, or Central Universities.
5. Download the PDF and check seat counts for each institute and specialisation.

Who Can Participate in Round 2?

Candidates who did not secure a seat in Round 1 can register afresh for Round 2. Fresh candidates who missed the earlier round are also eligible to apply. Those allotted a seat in Round 1 but who did not join may face restrictions under the MCC upgrade and forfeiture rules.

All eligible candidates must complete registration and fee payment on the MCC portal within the notified window. The fee structure and refund rules are listed in the official information bulletin available on the same portal.

Action Plan for Candidates

1. Download the three seat matrix PDFs from mcc.nic.in and shortlist preferred institutes.
2. Complete fresh registration and fee payment on the MCC portal by September 19, 2026.
3. Fill choices in strict priority order between September 16 and September 20, 2026.
4. Lock choices before 10 AM on September 20, 2026, to confirm participation.
5. Check the allotment result on September 23 and report to the allotted institute by September 30, 2026.
