Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, is inviting applications for doctoral admissions for the even semester of the academic year 2025-2026. Interested candidates must register online at the New Application Form Submission Interface by November 26, 2025, at (admission.smvdu.ac.in).

The SMVDU registration is open for PhD programs. programs across various disciplines, including physics, mathematics, biotechnology, energy management, economics, management, philosophy and culture, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science & engineering, electronics & communication engineering, and language & literature (English).

The selection procedure of SMVDU Katra includes a written examination followed by an interview of the shortlisted candidates. Candidates who have qualified for UGC-NET, GATE, or other similar national-level examinations are exempted from the written test.

Candidates must note that the selected candidates will get a stipend of INR 25,000 per month. Contingency is also available for GATE NET-qualified candidates and those who have been selected through the SMVDU test as per the university rules.
