Rayat Bahra University PhD Admission 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible for admission to the PhD program:
- Candidate must not be more than 60 years of age on the date of the entrance test.
- A 1-year/2-semester master’s degree after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree.
- A 2-year/4-semester master’s degree after a 3-year bachelor’s degree.
- Equivalent qualifications in a relevant discipline with at least 55% aggregate marks or the equivalent grade.
- An equivalent degree from a recognized foreign institution, accredited by the relevant authority.
- A 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree with at least 75% aggregate marks, and:
- A minimum of 4 years of full-time teaching, research, or industry experience.
- Currently employed at an AICTE/UGC-approved institution or recognized government agency/industry.

Rayat Bahra University PhD Admission 2025: Documents Required
Candidates must submit the following documents during the interview:
- Four recent passport-sized photographs
- Certificates of 10th, 12th, Graduation, and Post-Graduation
- JRF/NET/GATE certificate (if applicable)
- NOC from the employer (if currently employed)
- Photo ID proof (Aadhar card) and Category certificate (if applicable)
- Semester fee payment receipt
- M.Phil. certificate (for coursework exemption, if applicable)
- Coursework completion certificate from other universities (if applicable)
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria must complete the admission form and attach supporting documents. A screening committee, including members from the Doctoral Research Committee and subject experts, will review the applications.
Shortlisted candidates based on their academic records, documents, and experience will take a written test. The timetable and curriculum will be shared with registered candidates. The final selection will be based on a personal interview.
