IIT Roorkee M.Tech/M.Arch/MURP Admission 2026 Begins for Sponsored Category; Apply by June 15 @iitr.ac.in

The IIT Roorkee has opened the application process for Sponsored Category admission to its PG programmes for the academic session 2026–27. The admissions are offered for M.Tech, M.Arch, and Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) programmes across various departments of the institute. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official website iitr.ac.in. The last date to apply is June 15, 2026.

According to the official information brochure, the online application portal opened on March 10, 2026. After the application process closes, shortlisted candidates may have to appear for an interview and/or a written test scheduled between June 16 and June 23, 2026, depending on the requirements of the concerned department or centre.

The sponsored category is open to candidates who have at least two years of full-time professional experience in a relevant field and are sponsored by recognised organisations such as industries, government departments, research institutions, or educational organisations.

IIT Roorkee M.Tech/M.Arch/MURP Sponsored Admission 2026 Dates

The institute offers over 50 postgraduate programmes in disciplines such as engineering, architecture, planning, materials science, artificial intelligence, hydrology, nanotechnology, disaster management, and sustainable energy. The minimum duration of these programmes is four semesters for full-time candidates and six semesters for part-time candidates.
