For students from families earning between Rs. 1 Lakh and Rs. 5 Lakhs, the tuition fee is waived by two-thirds.

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur has released the comprehensive fee structure for its various Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs for the Admission Year 2026-2027.

The fee schedule includes a clear distinction between the first semester, which has one-time charges such as Admission Fees and Caution Money, and subsequent semesters. For B.Tech and Dual Degree students, the initial semester cost is set at Rs. 1,11,100, while the 5-year Integrated M.Sc. begins at Rs. 56,100.

NIT Durgapur also maintains its commitment to accessibility by offering 100% tuition fee waivers for students from SC, ST, and PH categories, as well as those with a family income below Rs. 1 Lakh. Students with a family income between Rs. 1 Lakh and 5 Lakhs are eligible for a two-third waiver of the tuition fee.

The institute provides extensive support to ensure education remains affordable. For B.Tech and Dual Degree candidates, a full waiver is granted to SC/ST/PH students and those whose family income is less than Rs. 1 Lakh per annum.

For students from families earning between Rs. 1 Lakh and Rs. 5 Lakhs, the tuition fee is waived by two-thirds. For the Integrated M.Sc. program, the SC/ST students receive a 100% tuition fee waiver.

For international students under DASA or SII schemes, the tuition fees range from USD 1,500 to USD 4,000 depending on the country of origin (SAARC vs. Non-SAARC) and specific program category.
