NTA has denied any case of NEET UG 2024 Paper Leak and shared that the case of unfair means has been registered with the State Police. The exam authority has also clarified 718 and 719 marks in NEET UG Results 2024.

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency has issued detailed clarification on NEET UG 2024 Results announced on June 04, 2024. The official notification and result data are released to address the queries and concerns raised by students regarding unfair means and possible leaks of NEET UG 2024 as well as students securing 718 and 719 marks in NEET UG Results 2024.

In the official notification, NTA has clarified that the exam authority has detected cases of unfair means from a few NEET UG 2024 exam centres. Such cases have been registered with the State police and the investigation is still underway. NTA is extending its support wherever required to ensure a smooth and fair commencement of NEET UG 2024.

NEET UG Results 2024: 67 Candidates Secured All India Rank 1
This year, a total of 23,33,297 candidates appeared for the examination, which is significantly higher than the number of students who appeared for the exam in 2023 (20,38,596). Due to this, a large number of students have secured high scores in NEET UG Results 2024.
As per the result data, a total of 67 candidates have secured a perfect 720/720 marks and AIR 1, out of which NTA is currently reviewing the answer key of 44 candidates. “Out of the 67 candidates who got 720/720 marks, 44 are on account of the revision in one Answer Key of Physics and 06 are on account of compensatory marks for loss of time”, the official notice reads.

Clarification on Unfair Means & NEET UG 2024 Paper Leak
Informing about the ongoing cases of unfair means in NEET UG 2024, the official notice reads, "NTA has registered cases against impersonators and some cases have been registered by the State Police. NTA has been extending support, wherever required, to the agencies investigating cases pertaining to NEET (UG) 2024".
Any student who is found using any unfair means in the entrance exam will face actions as per the existing rules of NTA, which include cancellation of the candidature. Such candidates will no longer be able to take any future examination of NTA.
NTA Denies Any Case of Paper Leak
The exam authority has denied any case of NEET UG 2024 paper leak, stating that, "NTA also issued a detailed Press Release on 06 May 2024 stating that there has not been any paper leak as was being circulated on social media. The same stand has been reiterated and NTA maintains that the integrity of the examination was not compromised”.
Compensatory Marks Granted in NEET UG Result 2024 for Loss of Time
Explaining the allegation of students securing 718 and 719 marks in NEET UG 2024 through unfair means, the NTA has shared that few candidates are granted compensatory marks in NEET UG Results 2024 to make up for their time lost during the examination.
The compensatory marks are granted as a result of a written petitions filed by the candidates in Court of Punjab & Haryana, Delhi, and Chhattisgarh due to loss of exam time during the conduct of NEET (UG) 2024 on May 05, 2024 at a few Exam Centres.
NEET UG 2024 Results Declared with Transparency in Exam Process
NTA has ensured that the NEET UG 2024 exam held across various exam centres across India for admission to medical colleges and universities in India follows a transparent process. The results are prepared in accordance with the NTA guidelines.
The NEET UG 2024 results were declared for over 23 lakh candidates within 30 days, session 1 result was published in 11 days while the session 2 result was declared within 15 days of the exam commencement.
