NIMHANS PG/PhD Entrance Exam 2026 Dates Announced; Tests From May 29-31

NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences) has released the entrance examination schedule for postgraduate and doctoral admissions for the 2026-27 academic session. NIMHANS PG/PhD Exam Format and Course Details

NIMHANS offers multiple postgraduate programs, including M.A. Clinical Psychology (RCI), M.Sc. courses, M.Phil programs, and various PhD specialisations. The entrance examination is conducted in a pen-and-paper format at the Bengaluru campus. Each course has a separate merit list prepared based on entrance exam performance.

NIMHANS PG/PhD Admission 2026 Selection Process and Merit List

Merit-based selection is conducted for all courses following the entrance examination. PhD candidates shortlisted based on entrance exam scores will appear for interviews on June 2-3, 2026. Provisional selection lists for all courses will be announced on June 20, 2026, followed by admission dates starting June 23, 2026.

Candidates selected in the merit list must complete document verification on their respective admission dates. Original certificates and qualifying degree documents must be presented during admission. Candidates who fail to produce final year or provisional results on the admission date will not be considered for admission.
