Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) has extended the application deadline for B.Tech engineering, postgraduate programmes, FYUGP, and other undergraduate courses to May 30, 2026. Candidates can apply online through iust.ac.in.

Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) Awantipora, Kashmir has extended the application submission deadline for multiple undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to May 30, 2026 (Saturday). The extension applies to B.Tech engineering, 2-year postgraduate programmes, FYUGP, and other undergraduate courses for the academic session 2026. Candidates must apply online through the official admission portal at iust.ac.in or visit iust.ac.in.
IUST is offering admissions across six B.Tech engineering specializations including Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Robotics & Automation, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. The university also provides 2-year postgraduate programmes in M.Tech, M.Sc, M.A, MBA, and MCA disciplines. Additionally, FYUGP and other undergraduate programmes in science, arts, and professional courses are available for eligible candidates.

B.Tech engineering admission is based on JEE Main (Paper-I) 2026 performance. Candidates must have passed 10+2 from J&K Board of School Education or any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Candidates appearing in JEE Main 2026 can also apply during the application window. Merit-based selection will be conducted based on entrance exam scores and candidate preferences.
M.Tech programmes require a bachelor's degree in relevant engineering disciplines with qualifying entrance exam scores. M.Sc programmes require a bachelor's degree in science with relevant subject background. M.A programmes require a bachelor's degree in humanities or social sciences. MBA and MCA programmes have specific eligibility criteria based on educational background and entrance exam performance.
FYUGP and other undergraduate programmes are open to candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from recognized boards. Admission to FYUGP is merit-based on 10+2 marks or entrance exam scores depending on the programme.

How to Apply for IUST Admission 2026?
- Candidates must register on the official admission portal before filling the application form.
- Visit admission.iust.ac.in and click on "Apply Online" to select the appropriate programme option.
- Complete all required fields including personal, academic, and communication details.
- Upload scanned copies of required documents in the specified format and pay the application fee online through debit card, credit card, or net banking.
Candidates should keep the following documents ready before starting the online application process. Essential documents include 10+2 marksheet and certificate, intermediate/higher secondary certificate, birth certificate or identity proof, migration certificate (if applicable), character certificate, and recent passport-sized photographs. For B.Tech programmes, candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in 10+2.
