NID has released the list of vacant seats and eligible candidates for M.Des Admission on July 9, 2024. The Seat allotment list against the vacant seats will be released soon.

New Delhi: The National Institute of Design (NID) is expected to release the M.Des Spot Round Seat Allotment List soon. Candidates who had participated in the NID M.Des Admission Counselling process can check the Spot Round Seat Allotment Result once released from the official website: https://admissions.nid.edu. NID has for now released the list of vacant seats available for spot round admission.

NID was supposed to release the Spot Round Seat Allotment from July 9- 11, 2024. But it has not yet released any official notification regarding the release of the Spot Round Seat Allotment List. The List of Vacant Seats was released on July 9, 2024. Eligible candidates had till July 10, 2024 to submit their preferences for the vacant seats.
Candidates who have been allotted seats in the SPOT round must confirm their seats, pay the admission fee and submit documents within the deadline. Eligible candidates who had been allotted a seat in a discipline in Rounds 1, 2 and 3 of seat allocation, but did not pay the fees; or did not upload the required document; or the candidates who have not been allotted a seat in any discipline in any of the previous Rounds of seat allocation can participate in the SPOT admission process.
Meanwhile, candidates who have been provisionally admitted to the M.Des. programme at the three NID campuses; or those candidates whose candidatures were cancelled due to non-conformance of the eligibility criteria viz. submissions of false information, non-affiliated programs, 3-year Bachelor degree, cannot participate in the round.
Important Instructions for NID M.Des Spot Round Admission
We have listed down the important instructions released by NID for M.Des Spot Round Admission:
- Allotment of seats will be based on the availability of seats in the order of merit in the respective discipline in the respective category.
- The number of eligible candidates invited for a vacant seat in a particular category will be no less than three times in each category applied for by the candidate in the respective category (GENERAL, GENERAL-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD & OVERSEAS) as per merit.
- The allotment of the seat will commence from the highest rank onwards in the descending order, in each category of vacant seat(s). Allotment of seats in a particular category will close as soon as the required number of seats are filled up.
- The invited candidates need to submit the following required documents in one single PDF file via email to admissionsPnid.edu between July 9 to July 10, 2024, for online document verification. If they fail to do so, it will be considered that they are not interested in obtaining admission to the M.Des. programme, and the seat will be allotted to the next eligible candidate in the order of merit, in the respective discipline and category. Incomplete submission of documents will not be accepted and will lead to the cancellation of the candidature.
