NEET SS 2024 exam dates are yet to be officially announced. However, Twitter user Dr Rohan Krishnan has shared that the exam may be conducted in January 2025.

New Delhi: The National Board of Examination (NBE) is likely to conduct the NEET SS 2024 exam in January 2025, according to a Tweet by Orthopedic Surgeon Dr Rohan Krishnan. The exam authority will announce the official dates for NEET SS 2024 on its official website at natboard.edu.in.

In a Tweet on May 02, 2024, Dr. Rohan Krishnan shared that the NEET SS exam will be conducted in January 2025. However, neither the NBE nor the NMC have released an official statement about the dates for the NEET SS 2024 exam.

Students' Reactions to Unofficial Announcement of NEET SS 2024 Date

The Twitter post by Dr Krishnan has had a few concerned replies from Twitter users. One user asked, But why the delay sir? Is there any reason for this? Kindly throw some light if possible.”, another user suggested, “Let's file an RTI for official dates”. Another Twitter user lamented the delay of the NEET SS 2024 exam dates, saying, “Why a delay of almost 6 months from [the] scheduled date? [The exam] should happen early!”

Earlier in February 2024, the National Medical Commission (NMC) held a meeting in which they responded to an RTI from Dr Vivek Pandey, a sociopolitical activist. The meeting revealed that the NEET SS 2024 may be cancelled. This decision was taken due to the 2021 MD, MS, and DNB admissions taking place only from January to May 2022.

Informing about the meeting, NMC stated, "It was decided that as admissions for academic year 2021 for MD/MS and DNB courses were held only from January to May 2022, therefore, NEET SS-2024 may not be conducted in the current year. However, the exact date of counselling NEET SS- 2024 in the year 2025 will be decided later."
