KEAM 2024 to be Conducted in CBT Mode; Assumptions Rise as CEE Invites Bidders for Security Auditing Outsource

New Delhi: Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala is assumed to conduct the KEAM 2024 Exam in Computer Based mode. As per the sources, the preliminary steps to convert the KEAM into a computer exam have begun.

Kerala CEE has invited bidders to submit the quotations for carrying out security auditing of the CBT (Computer Based Test) Entrance Examinations. The official notice read, ‘ Sealed quotations are invited from CERT Empanelled agencies in Kerala for carrying out security auditing of the CBT (Computer Based Test) application hosted at the State Data Centre of the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, which is developed and maintained by C-Dit.T.’

According to Kerala CEE, the deadline for submitting the quotations is December 15, 2023 till 3pm. The quotations will be opened on the same day at 4 pm.

‘The cover of the quotation should be superscripted as “CONFIDENTIAL - Quotation for rate of security Auditing of the CBT application” as was mentioned in the notice. 

The quotations must be sent to the following address:

“Commissioner For Entrance Examinations, 7 th Floor, KSRTC Bus Terminal Building, Thampanoor, Thiruvananthapuram - 695001"

Discussions surrounding the transition of the Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical (KEAM) entrance exam from a pen-and-paper format to a computer-based test (CBT) have resurfaced last year too. However, technical challenges ultimately prevented its implementation.

The KEAM exam will tentatively be held on May 15, 2024. KEAM 2024 Result will be released on or before June 20, 2024. Previously, it was conducted in pen-and-paper mode.
