JEE Main 2024 Registration Date Likely to be Out Next Week, NTA To Reduce JEE Syllabus; Check Details Here

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce JEE Main 2024 Registration Dates along with the JEE Main 2024 Information Bulletin next week. In addition to this, NTA will publish a reduced JEE Main 2024 syllabus. 

According to NTA Director General, Subodh Kumar Singh, "The revised JEE syllabus will be notified along with the information bulletin which will be released next week along with the registration dates".

The JEE Main Registration 2024 process is expected to start from the 2nd week of December 2023 and the last date to apply will be first week of January 2024 (expected). 

NTA has already announced JEE Main 2024 Exam Dates. The authority will conduct JEE Main 2024 Session 1 exam from January 24 and February 1, 2024. The JEE Main 2024 session 2 exam will be conducted from April 1 and April 15, 2024.

JEE Main 2024 Syllabus Likely to be Reduced
 

NTA Director General Subodh Kumar Singh has informed that NTA has consulted all state exam boards as well as CBSE and NCERT with the aim of reducing JEE Main 2024 syllabus. The authority has executed an expert committee to finalise the syllabus for 2024 session. 

This decision came as several state boards have reduced the syllabus for class 9th to class 12th students. 

• NCERT syllabus was reduced by 30% during COVID to reduce the burden of curriculum on students. 
• Additionally in accordance with NEP 2020, NCERT also rationalized its textbooks reducing certain portions of the content from the old syllabus.
• NTA has also released NEET 2024 reduced syllabus. Instead of 97 chapters, there are only 79 chapters now. The updated syllabus covers class 11 and class 12 biology, chemistry, and physics syllabus based on new NCERTs.

The JEE Main syllabus is expected to be released soon along with JEE Main 2024 notification this week on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in as well as nta.ac.in.

Steps to Apply for JEE Main 2024
 

Step 1: Visit the official website of JEE Main 2024 at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Step 2: Click on the latest registration link available candidate activity tab.

Step 3: Enter the details as required to register and log in to your profile.

Step 5: Fill out the JEE Main 2024 Registration Form carefully and upload the documents as required. 

Step 6: Submit the form along with the exam fee and documents.

Step 7: Take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

NTA to Allot JEE Candidates Center Close to Their Home Address

Subodh Kumar Singh shared that candidates will be allotted JEE Main 2024 Exam Centers close to their homes to ensure easy commute during examinations. "We will ensure that no candidate is required to travel out of his/her home state", he added.

JEE Main 2024 Result Date to be announced along with Registration Dates

National Testing Agency has decided to announce the JEE Main 2024 Result Date with registration dates. NTA Director said, "This will not only help the aspirants but also the institute in planning their yearly academic cycle".

He further added that from 2024, the JEE result date will be released along with the information bulletin so that students will have a clear idea of when their results will be announced. The results will be declared on the official website of NTA JEE at jeemain.nta.nic.in or ntaresults.nic.in.
