INI SS January 2026: AIIMS Announces Revised Open Round Seat Matrix and Final Counselling Schedule

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has released a crucial update regarding the Open Round of Institute Allocation for admission to DM and M.Ch. courses (January 2026 Session). This is the final opportunity for candidates to secure a seat, as the authorities have confirmed that no further rounds of seat allocation will be conducted after this session. The revision has converted several "zero-seat" departments into active opportunities for Open Category candidates.

To participate in the INI-SS January 2026 Open Round, candidates must fulfill a specific financial requirement that differs from the initial examination registration. Every applicant is required to deposit a security amount of Rs. 3,00,000 (Three Lakh) into the official account of the Examination Section, AIIMS New Delhi. This payment must be made via RTGS, NEFT, or any other electronic mode using the following details: Account Name: Accounts Officer (Exams), Account Number: 32212516154, and IFSC Code: SBIN0001536. Furthermore, the candidate is obligated to upload the payment receipt along with a cancelled cheque to their online portal ("My Page") to be considered for seat allocation.

INI-SS January 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To participate in this Open Round, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum Marks: Candidates must have obtained 50% or above in the INI-SS Entrance Examination held on November 22, 2025.
• Merit List: Allocation is based on the Common Merit List (CML) and AIIMS Merit List (AML). Candidates seeking seats in AIIMS must be on the AML.
• Status: Candidates already holding a seat at any institute from previous rounds are not eligible.
• Exclusivity: General seat applicants are only eligible for General seats; Sponsored applicants are only eligible for Sponsored seats.

INI-SS January 2026 Selection Process

1. Online Registration: Candidates must register and exercise their choices on the official portal.
2. Security Deposit: A mandatory deposit of Rs. 3.00 Lakh is required (details below).
3. Merit-Based Allocation: Seats are allotted based on rank, preference, and the revised seat matrix.
