New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur) has achieved a milestone with 1,000 enrollments in its eMasters degree program launched in January 2022. Over 220 professionals have already graduated and are experiencing career advancement in contemporary fields.
IIT Kanpur has unveiled new cohorts for eMasters degrees spanning 10 domains, including data science, cybersecurity, AI, ML, financial technology, public policy, and sustainable construction practices. These degrees cater specifically to working professionals, eliminating the need for a Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score and allowing candidates to pursue education without career disruptions.
What is the eMasters Course at IIT Kanpur?
The eMasters programs follow a unique structure, combining weekend live interactive classes with self-paced learning modules. The 60-credit, 12-module curriculum aligns with industry requirements and is delivered by IIT Kanpur faculty and researchers. Participants gain academic knowledge and access the IIT Kanpur incubation cell and alumni network, providing valuable connections and resources.
Incorporating an immersive learning experience, the program permits visits to the IIT Kanpur campus for face-to-face interactions with faculty and networking opportunities with seasoned professionals. Successful candidates earn the prestigious IIT Kanpur alumni status, adding to the program's appeal.
The eMasters program emphasises flexibility, allowing students to complete their degrees within 1 to 3 years. This feature accommodates varying schedules and commitments, making education accessible to diverse professionals seeking to enhance their skills and advance in their careers.
