IIT Hyderabad (IITH) has announced the shortlist of candidates for Spring 2026 PhD admissions. Interviews will take place on December 11 and 12, 2025, and the final selection decision will be published on December 17, 2025. This applies to various full-time and part-time PhD specialisations, from Computer Science to Civil Engineering and Natural Sciences, offering stipend support and a structured admission process.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold a qualifying degree such as B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech, M.Sc, or MCA, with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent to apply. The selection process begins with a screening of the application, where the committee reviews the candidate’s academic records, GATE/NET scores, CV, and relevant work experience.

Shortlisted candidates are then called for a written test followed by a technical interview, and the final decision is made by the interview panel. For full-time PhD students, IIIT Hyderabad offers a monthly stipend of ₹31,000 to ₹35,000, based on their progress in the program.

In some cases, students may receive corporate fellowships from companies like Google or TCS, which provide a higher stipend of ₹50,000 per month.

After results are announced, candidates selected for admission must accept their seat by December 21, 2025, and keep essential documents such as academic marksheets, resume, and Statement of Purpose ready for final admission formalities.
