IIT Kanpur CSE Department Organised QA Session for PG Admission on April 9

New Delhi: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at IIT Kanpur has hosted an Information Cum Q&A Session for PG (Postgraduate) candidates who aspire to pursue MS, MTech, and Ph.D. programs offered by the CSE department. 

The session was conducted on Tuesday, April 09, 2024, from 5 to 6 PM, through Zoom and YouTube. Prof. Amey Karkare, Head of the CSE Department, Prof. Ashutosh Modi, Prof. Debapriya Basu Roy, Prof. Sutanu Gayen were the coordinators of the event. PG Students from the CSE Department also participated to provide their insights on the course curriculum and the admission process. 

Prof. Amey Karkare, Head of the CSE department, said, "The Information Cum Q&A Session is designed to provide valuable insights into our PG admission process and programs, with a focus on guiding and assisting applicants in making informed decisions about their academic journey."

The institute expected about 300 or more applicants to participate and had also invited about 20 PG students and faculty members from the CSE department to join the QA session. The session aimed to help applicants by clearing up any doubts or questions they might have about the admission process.

The main goal of this event is to provide detailed information about the admission process for CSE PG programs. This includes explaining their programs and how to apply for them. This will be an orientation session for CSE students.
