Odisha CPET 2026 Schedule Out; Exams From May 5-16 Across 50 Subjects

The State Selection Board, Odisha has finalized the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) 2026 schedule, confirming exams from May 5 to May 16, 2026 revised from the earlier tentative May 5-18 timeline. Admit cards will be available from April 30, 2026.

The State Selection Board (SSB), Odisha, has released the subject-wise examination schedule for the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) 2026. The entrance examination will be conducted from May 5 to May 16, 2026, across 50 postgraduate subjects.

The revised schedule confirms the earlier tentative dates of May 5-18 have been shortened to May 5-16. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website (ssbodisha.ac.in) starting April 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM.

The CPET 2026 will determine admission to postgraduate programs across Odisha's higher education institutions for the 2026-27 academic session. The examination will be conducted in two sittings, a daily morning session from 10:00 AM to 11:40 AM and an afternoon session from 3:00 PM to 4:40 PM.

Each sitting will feature 80 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 90 minutes. Over 58,708 candidates have applied for the entrance examination across various subjects, including Science, Commerce, Arts, and professional streams.

The CPET 2026 follows a standardized format with 80 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 90 minutes per sitting. Each day features two examination sessions to accommodate the large number of candidates and diverse subject offerings.

The morning session runs from 10:00 AM to 11:40 AM, while the afternoon session operates from 3:00 PM to 4:40 PM. This dual-sitting arrangement ensures efficient conduct of examinations across 50 postgraduate subjects without scheduling conflicts.

Candidates must visit the official State Selection Board website at ssbodisha.ac.in to download their hall tickets starting April 30, 2026, from 11:00 AM onwards. The admit card download process requires entering the Application Barcode Number and Date of Birth.

Candidates must carry their admit cards along with valid photo identification to the examination center on their scheduled exam date. The SSB reserves the right to change examination dates without prior notice, and any modifications will be published on the official website and in newspapers.

Following the completion of the examination on May 16, 2026, the State Selection Board will evaluate answer sheets and release results on the official portal. After result declaration, the counselling process will commence for merit-based seat allocation across participating postgraduate institutions.
