IIT Bombay has released the JAM 2026 second seat allotment list on the JOAPS portal at joaps.iitb.ac.in. Selected candidates must pay the seat booking fee by June 11, 2026 to confirm their admission.
The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has released the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026 second seat allotment list on the official JOAPS portal at joaps.iitb.ac.in. The second list was declared on June 8, 2026 as per the official admission schedule.
Candidates who have been offered a seat in this round must complete the seat booking fee payment by June 11, 2026. The allotment can be accessed through individual candidate logins on the JOAPS portal. IIT JAM 2026 offers admission to nearly 3,000 seats across 89 postgraduate programmes at 22 IITs and IISc Bangalore.
The first allotment list was released on May 25, 2026 with a fee payment deadline of May 30, 2026. The second list moves vacant seats to the next eligible candidates based on choices and merit ranks.

How to Check the JAM 2026 Second Allotment List?
- Visit the official JOAPS portal at joaps.iitb.ac.in.
- Click on the candidate login link on the home page.
- Enter your JAM 2026 enrolment ID and password.
- Open the admission section to view the allotted programme and institute.
- Download the allotment intimation for personal records.
How to Pay the Seat Booking Fee?
Allotted candidates must log in to JOAPS and select the fee payment link. The payment can be made through online modes such as net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. The seat is confirmed only after successful payment within the deadline.
Candidates who fail to pay the fee by June 11, 2026 will lose their allotted seat. The seat will then move to the next eligible candidate in the third round.

Withdrawal Option for Candidates
The withdrawal window is open from June 3 to July 3, 2026. Candidates who no longer wish to take admission can exit through the JOAPS portal during this period. A refund is processed as per the official refund rules of JAM 2026.

The second list usually opens seats in core programmes vacated after round one. Candidates with mid-range ranks often secure preferred IITs in this round. Acting before the June 11 deadline is critical to lock the offer.

The third allotment list will be released on June 16, 2026 with a fee payment deadline of June 20, 2026. Final offer letters will be available on JOAPS from July 9, 2026.
