Background on the DU BTech Admission Cycle 2026
The DU BTech admission cycle 2026 began with three regular CSAS rounds, completed across June and July 2026. Spot Round 1 was declared on August 6, 2026.
Vacant seats from the earlier rounds are now being offered through Spot Round 2. The mid-entry facility has been introduced based on seat availability, giving new candidates their first opportunity to join the admission process.
Who Can Apply Through the Mid-Entry Window?
The mid-entry window is meant only for fresh candidates who did not register during the earlier CSAS rounds. Applicants must have a valid JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 rank.
The mid-entry option is not available for the CW supernumerary quota or the ward supernumerary quota. Candidates already registered on the CSAS portal cannot apply through this window again.
How to Register for the Mid-Entry Window?
Fresh candidates can complete mid-entry registration in a few simple steps. The window closes at 4:59 PM on August 14, 2026. Late applications will not be accepted.
- Visit the CSAS portal at admission.uod.ac.in.
- Click on the CSAS 2026 mid-entry registration link.
- Fill in your personal, academic and JEE Main details.
- Upload the required scanned documents in the prescribed format.
- Pay the registration fee online and submit the application.
What Documents Are Required During Verification?
Candidates should upload the following documents to their CSAS profile before seat allotment. Missing documents may lead to rejection during faculty verification.
- JEE Main 2026 scorecard and admit card
- Class 10 marksheet and passing certificate
- Class 12 marksheet and passing certificate
- Category certificate (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS), if applicable
- PwD certificate, if applicable
- Valid photo identity proof and passport-size photograph
How to Accept the Allotted Seat in Spot Round 2?
Candidates who receive a seat must complete each step in sequence. Skipping the acceptance stage will stop the faculty verification process. Missing the fee payment deadline will result in cancellation of admission.
- Log in to the CSAS dashboard using your registered credentials.
- Check the seat allocation status for your selected programme.
- Click the Accept button before the acceptance window closes.
- Wait for the faculty to verify your uploaded documents.
- Pay the admission fee online before the deadline.
The seat allotted in this spot round is final. There is no option to upgrade or withdraw the admission later. Candidates should decide carefully before clicking accept.
