IIT Gandhinagar Early PhD Programme Admission 2024-25 Open; Apply till October 20

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology, (IIT Gandhinagar) has begun the early application process for the PhD programmes for the academic session 2024-25. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, @iitgn.ac.in, till October 20, 2023. 

IIT Gandhinagar also offers Ph.D. Admission for 13 different specializations. The PhD admission is done on the basis of a Department-Based Test followed by Academic Performance, Work Experience and Interview. GATE/ NET/ CSIR/ UGC or SLET qualified candidates are also eligible for PhD admission.

Candidates seeking PhD Admission will have to fulfil the requisite eligibility criteria mentioned below. 

• BTech students from NITs or equivalent undergraduate engineering programs are required to achieve a minimum CPI/CGPA of 8.0 (for General/EWS/OBC) or 7.5 (for SC/ST/PwD) by the end of their third year.

• Final-year BTech students from specific colleges, which may include NITs, should rank within the top 5 in their respective departments at the conclusion of their third year (for General/EWS/OBC) or within the top 10 (for SC/ST/PwD).

• Students in their final year of BTech from IITs must maintain a CPI/CGPA of at least 6.0 by the end of their third year to meet the scholarship's eligibility requirements.

• Admission is typically granted through an interview process, with the possibility of a written test as a supplementary evaluation. The ultimate selection will primarily consider academic achievements, the results of any written tests, and/or the interview.

• Reserved category candidates will receive appropriate cutoff mark relaxations as per the established guidelines.

• Details regarding the mode (offline/online) and schedules for any required written tests or interviews will be conveyed to the shortlisted candidates by their respective academic departments.

Step 2: On the homepage, navigate to the notification section and look for IIT Gandhinagar Early PhD Admission 2024-25. 

Step 3: Now, click on it and Register yourself after filling in the required details, such as Mobile Number, Email ID, etc.

Step 4: Then, log in with the registration credentials and fill in all the details in the Application form.

Step 5: Next, Review all the details and submit the Application form. 

Step 6: Finally, take a copy of the form for all future needs.
