IIST PG Admission 2025-26 for Sponsored Seats

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) has opened admissions for PG programs for the 2025-26 academic year. The last date to submit the online applications is February 27, 2025.

Candidates have to submit the NOC by February 28, 2025. The list of shortlisted candidates for the online interview will be displayed on March 4, 2025.

IIST PG Admission 2025-26 Eligibility Criteria

  • B.E/B.Tech/Master of Science or equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 for General & OBC category and minimum of 55% marks or CGPA 6.0 for SC/ST& PwD category.
  • In addition to the above educational qualifications, candidates must have a minimum of three years of work experience. Candidates have to upload a note (maximum 3 pages) on their work experience.
  • The maximum age for admissions is 45 years as of February 17, 2025, and the maximum age for the women candidates will be 50 years.

Eligible candidates can apply for a maximum of two programs and enter the preference number online application. The Institute is offering:

  • 2-year full-time PG programs: The employees must avail of 24 months of study leave to pursue and complete PG programs while staying at IIST.
  • PG programs leading to PhD programs: Candidates with CGPA 7.0 and above, throughout the semesters can register for PhD programs (subject to vacancies) and complete the required coursework during the second year project period. Sponsored employees must avail of 24 months of leave.

**Has to be paid in advance, directly to canteen services once the student physically reports at the campus.

After confirmation of the admission seat, candidates have to pay the amount of INR 14,200 as the seat acceptance fee (other fees and hostel fees). Balance fees will be collected at a later date, which will be informed through email.

Additional Fees

Candidates have to pay the additional fees along with the final semester fee.

After confirming and paying the seat acceptance fee, candidates have to submit an undertaking stating that they will not withdraw the admission. In case a student withdraws from the program, the seat acceptance fee will not be refunded. The format of the undertaking will be uploaded on the admission portal at the time of publication of the results.
