HPU Admission 2022: Applications Open for UG, PG, PhD Courses; Last Date to Apply is May 9

New Delhi:  Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) is currently accepting applications for its various undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate, diploma, PhD and distance learning programmes for the academic session 2022-23. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, hpuniv.ac.in. The last date for submission of an online application is May 09, 2022.

HPU offers its programmes in various specialisations in the stream of Arts, Science and Commerce. Candidates must complete 10+2 to get enrolled in an undergraduate programme and for postgraduate admissions a relevant bachelor's degree is mandatory.

Admission to the different courses offered by HPU is done on the basis of different eligibility and selection criteria. Candidates need to appear in an entrance examination, GDPI round, or counselling as per the requirements of the course to get admission. However, the selection process differs from course to course.

HPU Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

UG Programmes: 10+2 or equivalent in the relevant subject from a recognised board/institute.

PG Programmes: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the relevant subject from a recognised university/ college.

PhD: Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in a relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying degree examinations.

Diploma Programmes: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent to be eligible.

HPU Admission 2022: Selection Process

• Firstly the applicants are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the required entrance exam as per the course.
• Shortlisted candidates then have to appear for the group discussion/ personal interview/written test rounds.
• Candidates are also called for a counselling session for specific courses.
• The final selection is based on the overall performance, which includes previous academic scores, performance in the entrance exam and interview round.

HPU Admission 2022: How to Apply?

• Visit the official application portal of HPU, at hpuniv.ac.in.
• Register yourself after filling in the required details, such as Name, Mobile Number, Email Id etc.
• Now, log in with your registration credentials and fill in all details in the Application form.
• Pay the application fee and submit the Application form. 
• Applicants must also take a printout of the form for all future needs.
