The MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) PCB exam is a state-level entrance test used for admission to undergraduate Pharmacy, Agriculture, and allied health science courses in Maharashtra. It tests Class 11 and 12 proficiency in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology to facilitate entry into technical and health science programs.
Key Details of MHT CET (PCB):
- Exam Structure: The exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) worth 200 marks.
- Duration: 3 hours.
- Note on Medical: While some sources mention health sciences, admission to MBBS/BDS in Maharashtra is largely conducted via NEET-UG, not MHT CET.
- Purpose: Admission to B.Pharmacy, D.Pharmacy, B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Sc. Horticulture, B.F.Sc. (Fisheries Science), and related degrees.
- Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).
- Eligibility: Candidates must have completed their Class 12 exams, typically through the Maharashtra State Board, though other boards are accepted.
The MHT CET is essential for students seeking to enter specialized, non-MBBS, health-related fields in Maharashtra's state-affiliated colleges.
