In alignment with CBSE, the Haryana Board has restructured its Class 10th and 12th exams to occur twice annually. The innovative step initiates the first round in July and seeks to combat the dropout rate in the state's educational institutions.

New Delhi: Aligned with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Board Exams, the Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) has introduced alterations in its Class 10th and 12th exams.
A notable modification in the HBSE involves conducting vital annual exams twice a year for class 10th and 12th students, starting with the initial session in July. This innovative approach is targeted at reducing the dropout rate in the state's educational institutions.
Fresh Approach Aimed at Enhancing Achievement Rates
In the revised system, students who pass their examinations in the initial attempt are not obligated to participate in the subsequent round. Nonetheless, those seeking to enhance their grades have the option to reappear.
The board will solely take into account the higher score when determining the final results. The exam will cover the complete syllabus, granting students two opportunities per year to excel, as opposed to the traditional single annual opportunity.
Maintaining Traditional Aspects While Embracing Innovation
Amidst these transformations, fundamental aspects like the board's syllabus and the question paper's structure will remain unchanged.
Candidates who haven't succeeded will have up to three attempts - in July, September, and March - to clear the exam. If they persist in facing challenges, they will be required to attempt open school examinations.
Pioneering Digital Marketing: A Novel Endeavor
HBSE is planning to implement a digital evaluation of answer sheets, marking the board's debut in India's educational landscape. This initiative is presently in progress, with the initial set of scanned answer sheets being evaluated during the supplementary exams in October 2023.
These digitised assessments will occur in specialised evaluation centers within the state, potentially guaranteeing heightened precision and efficiency in the evaluation procedure.
