GGSIPU Extends Last Date for PhD Admission 2026; Apply By December 8

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has extended the application deadline for PhD admissions (Winter Session) 2026 until December 8, 2025.

The PhD Entrance Test (PET) is tentatively rescheduled for December 27 and 28, 2025.

The application fee for the PhD programme at GGSIPU is Rs. 2,500, plus applicable taxes and service charges. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid online during the application process.

GGSIPU PhD 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for PhD admission at GGSIPU, candidates must meet one of the following requirements: Completion of a 1-year/2-semester master’s degree after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.

Completion of a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree with at least 75% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.Completion of an M.Phil. programme with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.

Candidates who have qualified for UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET/GATE/CEED or similar national-level tests are exempt from the entrance test but must still appear for an interview/viva-voce.
