UP Polytechnic Admission is conducted by the Joint Entrance Examination Council (JEEC), UP. It is conducted to provide admission to various engineering, pharmacy, technology, management and other Diploma courses across the state of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates can apply for the counselling process through the official website jeecup.admissions.nic.in.
The main schedule for UP Polytechnic Admission has been released. Candidates can fill the Application form from January 15 to April 30, 2025. The UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam will be conducted between May 20 - 28, 2025.
To be eligible for JEECUP, students must have passed the Class 10 or equivalent examination from any recognised board and hold a UP domicile.

JEECUP Marks Required to Get into Top Polytechnic Colleges

JEECUP 2025 Eligibility Criteria
- Nativity: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- Domicile: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh or staying in Uttar Pradesh for not less than 10 years before the filing of the application. Exceptions can be made if the candidates are wards of ex-servicemen or defence personnel.
- Educational Qualifications: The candidate must have passed the secondary examination or equivalent examination from an institute/ board recognized by the Government of Uttar Pradesh with at least 35% marks.
JEECUP Exam Pattern 2025
The JEECUP exam consists of 100 questions of 400 marks in total. 50 questions are from the Physics and Chemistry section and the rest of the 50 questions from Maths. There is no negative marking.

UP Polytechnic Admission 2025: FAQs
Ques. Do I need to report to the allotted college for the document verification?
Ans. No, you can verify your documents by reporting at your district’s reporting centre. You don’t need to go to the allotted college for this process. The reporting centre will take care of the document verification. Once the documents are approved, the admission will be confirmed. Candidates must carry all the required documents as mentioned in the official notification.
Ques. When will the conducting body start accepting seat acceptance fees?
Ans. The conducting body starts accepting the seat acceptance fees the next day after the seat allotment result is released. Candidates should pay the fees during the specified time to avoid any delay. Only after paying the fees, the seat will be confirmed. Failing to pay the fees online can result in the cancellation of the allocated seat. Candidates can proceed with other admission formalities after paying the fees.
Ques. If I did not appear for 1st round of counselling, can I appear for 2nd round of counselling?
Ans. Yes, you can register for 2nd round of counselling if you did not appear for the 1st round of counselling or did not get the college of choice in the 1st round of counselling. The 2nd round will give you the chance to secure a seat or get your preferred college. You must follow the registration process and submit the required documents within the mentioned time.
Ques. How can I score more in the Polytechnic entrance exam?
Ans. You can achieve a good score in the entrance exam by familiarising yourself with the syllabus and following a regular study plan using quality study material. Maintaining your health and doing constant revision will increase your score.
