Delhi University (DU) has about 1,000 seats still vacant out of the 71,000 spots offered for undergraduate courses this admission season. The admission authority is now working on a policy framework to accommodate more students. Read more here!

New Delhi: Delhi University has approximately 1,000 seats still vacant for undergraduate courses for the academic session 2023-24. The authority is preparing a new framework to accommodate more students to fill the remaining seats for DU UG Admission 2023.

Delhi University is preparing to announce a new policy to ensure that no seats are vacant for admission. An announcement for the same will be made soon on the official website of Delhi University on how the university plans to fill the remaining seats.

As of now, about 10% of seats for DU UG Admission 2023 are vacant in DU Affiliated colleges even after three rounds of admission. Earlier, the university began the admission process for its UG, PG and PhD courses in June 2023 and the classes for the same began on August 16, 2023.

DU colleges with vacant UG seats for the 2023-24 academic year are Acharya Narendra Dev College, Aditi Mahavidyalaya, Bhagini Nivedita College, Swami Shraddhanand College, Institute of Home Economics, and Bharati College among others.

After four rounds of seat allocation for DU UG Courses, Delhi University shared that it had over 5,000 vacant seats across 60 DU colleges for the 2023-24 academic year. As per the data, seats are vacant for specific major programs as well as for combinations of programs.

After DU Round 4 Admission 2023, the flagship course such as BCom Honours had 108 vacant seats and BSc Physics program had 250 seats vacant. The largest number of vacancies (a total of 647 seats) were for BA (Hons) Sanskrit across all categories.

Earlier, the university released the DU BTech Spot Round 03 allocation results on October 09, 2023, on the official website @admission.uod.ac.in. Candidates who are allotted seats can accept their allocation from October 09 to October 11 and the last date for fee payment is October 13, 2023.
