The University of Delhi (DU) has released the BTech Spot Round 1 schedule for the 2026–27 academic session. As per the official notification dated July 29, 2026, registration for the spot round begins today, July 30, 2026, on the official portal at admission.uod.ac.in. The notice covers the complete timeline for opt-in, seat allotment, seat acceptance, document verification, and fee payment.
The spot round is open to candidates who were eligible under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2026 but did not secure a seat in the first three allotment rounds. It is also open to candidates who wish to be considered for the remaining vacant seats across BTech programmes offered by the Faculty of Technology.

Who Is Eligible for the DU BTech Spot Round 1?
Only candidates who registered under the CSAS 2026 process can take part in this spot round. Applicants must have a valid JEE Main 2026 score and must meet the eligibility norms notified by the Faculty of Technology.
Candidates who accepted and joined a seat in an earlier round are not eligible. Withdrawn candidates and those with an active spot-eligible status can opt in through their CSAS dashboard.

How to Register for the DU BTech Spot Round 1 2026?
The registration process is entirely online. Candidates should keep their CSAS application number, password, and JEE Main 2026 credentials ready.
- Visit the official portal at admission.uod.ac.in.
- Log in using the CSAS application number and password.
- Open the BTech Spot Round 1 opt-in tab on the dashboard.
- Confirm participation and re-order programme preferences, if allowed.
- Save the changes and download the confirmation page for future reference.

What Happens After Registration?
Once the opt-in window closes, the university will publish the list of allotted candidates on the admission portal. Allotted candidates must accept the seat within the specified deadline stated in the official notice.
After seat acceptance, the concerned department will conduct online document verification. Candidates must then pay the admission fee within the prescribed window.
Failure to complete seat acceptance, document verification, or fee payment within the deadline will result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
The DU BTech programme was launched only in 2023 at the Faculty of Technology. Spot Round 1 is often the final route for candidates to secure a seat in the current session.
