DMER Tamil Nadu released the schedule for Special Stray Vacancy Round 2 BDS Counselling. Students can download the allotment order by 16 December 2024 once released.

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Chennai, has announced the schedule for the Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling Special Stray Vacancy Round II for BDS admissions for the 2024–2025 session. Below are the detailed schedules for both General Quota (GQ) and Management Quota (MQ), as well as the 7.5% reservation for Tamil Nadu government school students.

Special Stray Vacancy Round II: BDS Important Information To Candidates

The Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee has announced Special Stray Vacancy Round II counselling for BDS seats from December 9 to December 16, 2024. This follows four regular counselling rounds and Special Stray Round I. At the end of these rounds, 11 BDS seats remain vacant in Tamil Nadu.

Students can go through the sections below to check the eligibility criteria for the counselling process.

Eligible Candidates

  • Candidates who do not hold any MBBS/BDS seats are eligible to register for this round. They must have applied to the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee and be present in the merit list.

Non-Eligible Candidates

  • Candidates who have joined any MBBS/BDS seats in All India or State Quota (Government, Management, NRI, or NRI Lapsed Quota).

  • Candidates who did not join their allotted seats in Tamil Nadu State Counselling Round 3, Stray Round, or Special Stray Round.

  • Candidates allotted in AIQ Special Stray Round II (results published on December 11, 2024).

  • Candidates who resigned or discontinued UG-MBBS/BDS courses after the stipulated date (October 14, 2024) in Tamil Nadu Medical Counselling.

Important Notes

  • Candidates must carefully fill their choices, as this is the final phase of counselling. Non-joining after allotment will result in forfeiture of fees and penalties, including disqualification from next year’s counselling.

  • Visit www.tnmedicalselection.org or www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in for updates and notifications.

General Instructions for All Candidates

  • Registration and choice filling must be completed online by the stipulated dates.

  • Locked choices cannot be modified. If not locked, choices will be auto-locked at the deadline.

  • Downloading the provisional allotment order is considered as joining. Candidates must report to the allotted college with original documents within the given time.

  • Non-compliance with reporting requirements will result in penalties, including forfeiture of fees and a one-year ban from counselling.
