Common Management Admission Test or CMAT 2025 has been concluded today 25 January 2025. Shift 2 ended at 6 PM. The shift 2 paper is also reported to be easy to moderately difficult. After every shift, the paper analysis and question paper will be uploaded here based on candidates’ feedback.
NTA has conducted the CMAT 2025 Shift 1 exam from 9 AM to 12 noon. Appearing candidates gave a mixed feedback making the overall difficulty level moderate. Check the detailed analysis and memory-based question paper here.

Around 50,000 candidates are expected to sit for the CMAT 2025 examination. However, the actual number of candidates will be shared by NTA after the completion of the examination.
CMAT 2025 Paper Analysis
After the conclusion of today's exam shifts, a detailed CMAT 2025 paper analysis is provided here. Student feedback offers valuable insights into the exam's difficulty level, key topics covered, and anticipated cutoffs.
The inital reaction of candidates show mixed reaction – some saying it was easy, others reporting a variety of questions. Many questions were similar to the previous year’s exam. Here is the section-wise paper analysis:

CMAT 2025 Question Paper and Solution PDF
Memory-based question papers, along with answer keys and solutions for both shifts, will be released later today. CMAT 2025 Question Paper for Shift 1 answer key and question paper will be available after 12 PM, while those for Shift 2 will be released post-6 PM.
CMAT 2025 Exam Pattern
There will be total 5 sections in CMAT 2025. Each section of CMAT 2025 will carry 20 questions. Total number of questions that will be asked in CMAT 2025 is 100. Students will be given a total of 180 minutes to complete the examination. 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted from the total score for each incorrect answer. The total marks that students can score is 400.

Important Documents to Carry
Candidates must bring the following essential documents to the examination center:
- CMAT 2025 Admit Card:
- A clear printout of the admit card on A4-size paper.
- The admit card must be duly filled with the candidate’s photo and left thumb impression.
- Photo Identification Proof (original copy only):
Candidates can carry any one of the following valid photo IDs:
- PAN Card
- Driving License
- Voter ID
- Passport
- Aadhaar Card (with photo)
- E-Aadhaar
- Ration Card
- Aadhaar Enrolment Number with Photo
- Additional Passport-Sized Photographs:
- Bring two passport-sized photographs, which will be pasted on the attendance sheet at the examination center.
Note: Digital copies of documents are not acceptable. Ensure all documents are in their original physical format.
CMAT 2025 Exam Day Guidelines
- Reporting Time: Candidates should report to the examination center before time so that the verification process can be completed. Latecomers will not be allowed.
- Frisking and Identification:
- The candidates will undergo compulsory physical frisking.
- Cooperate with the staff while identification process is going on and strictly follow the instructions given at the center.
- Forbidden Items:
- No mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or any digital devices are allowed in the examination hall.
- Bags, wallets, and other personal items should not be taken to the venue.

After the announcement of the CMAT 2025 results, candidates will need to apply to MBA colleges where their CMAT 2025 scores meet the minimum cut-off requirements. The selection process will involve a Personal Interview (PI) and Group Discussion (GD), which will be conducted independently by each college.
Here is the section-wise analysis of CMAT 2025 Shift 2:
- Language Comprehension: The section was rated as easy by most students.
- Quantitative Aptitude: Questions in this section were straightforward and categorized as easy.
- Logical Reasoning: This section was also considered easy, with manageable questions.
- General Awareness: Students found this section moderately challenging.
- Innovation and Entrepreneurship: The level of difficulty for this section was moderate.
Students who appeared for CMAT 2025 Shift 2 described the exam as easy to moderate. There was no change in the test paper pattern or structure form shift 1.
NTA has concluded the CMAT 2025 shift 2 exam at 6 PM. The paper analysis and question paper based on the initial reaction will be updated soon.
NTA will release the provisional CMAT 2025 answer key PDF for shift 1 and shift 2 on the official website exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT. Candidates can check the correct answers and raise objections if they find any mistakes. After considering all objections, the authorities will relese the final answer key.
Since last year NTA did not mention CMAT percentile on the scorecard. So, given below is an analysis of CMAT Score vs Rank based on the inputs received from last year’s test-takers. Candidates can use this as reference to estimate their rank in CMAT 2025

CMAT raw scores are converted into percentile score on a scale of 10 to 100 percentile. The percentile here means that you are ahead of the particular percent of students. It is calculated using the individual rank and the total number of candidates who appeared for the exam. CMAT Percentile is calculated using the formula:

NTA uses normalization to compare the performance across CMAT 2025 shift 1 and 2. CMAT normalization is done using percentile equivalence to maintain integrity and uniformity.
CMAT score is the total marks obtained by candidates out of 400. It is calculated based on the correct and incorrect responses made by the candidate in theexam by following the marking scheme given below:
- every correct response will be awarded +4
- every incorrect response will face a penalty of -1
- for unattempted questions, there is no negative marking

NTA has commenced the CMAT 2025 shift 2 exam at 3 PM. This shift will continue till 6 PM today.
This year, CMAT result 2025 is expected to be out by the last week of February 2025. The result is calculated based on the final answer key and score normalization.

No! National Testing Agency conducts the CMAT exam once a year. This year, the exam is being conducted on January 25, 2025 in two shifts.
NTA has started allowing candidates to enter the CMAT exam center for shift 2 exam at 1 PM. After through frisking, security checks, and verification process candidates will be able to enter the exam hall. The gates close at 2.30 PM.

Candidates can start reporting to the CMAT 2025 exam center from 7 AM onwards. The gates will be closed at 8.30 AM and latecomers will not be allowed to sit for the exam.
