Prof. Kaushal Hansraj is Principal in Charge at Subhash Institute of Technology, Ranchi. He has a total experience of seven years. He started his career as Associate Professor in 2019 at Subhash Institute Of Technology. He has done his M.Tech in Mechanical Thermal Energy from Punjab Technical University.
What are the best practices in the course you’re offering?
We are working for the overall improvement of the students, we are continuously working for making the students industry ready, we are working in making the students employable rather than just a degree holder. We are consistently working to enhance and enable the skills of the students by providing them with practical knowledge rather than just theoretical.
Being the Principal of the Subhash Institute Of Technology, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
According to me, leadership is guiding each and every individual in the organization and influence them to achieve a desired set of goa or objective, I believe in team work rather than being bossy in college we have to be consultative in approach, I on a regular basis take suggestions from the team member whether it is teaching staff, non teaching staff or the students so that a proper decision can be made which will help in achieving the desired set of goals. I also believe in developing leaders who are currently working under you by giving them opportunities to lead while at the same time supervising them so that they can make a proper decision.
What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the College and the students are?
As a Principal of the esteemed college, I have a lot of roles, I am taking care of the administrative job starting from admissions to maintain discipline, tracking the curriculum completion, maintaining good relationships between HOD’s & Teachers, Teachers and Students. Taking care of the Placements part as well and to follow the instructions from the university.
What do you see as Subhash Institute of Technology’s greatest strength?
The major strength of the college is one of the most visionary directors I have ever seen, his thinking process, his leadership skills and motivational thoughts looks to me as the greatest strength. In addition to this complete members of our Institutions whether it be HOD’s, faculties, Non Teaching Staff and the students are the strength for the organization as they jointly make the vision and the mission of our institute a grand success.

What do you think should be the College’s top priority over the next ten years?
We are continuously working to adopt different courses which are new to the students and are available in the university we are first of all trying to reach to the students with the current courses and are continuously working to get affiliated to new courses we are working to have MBA program in our college and we are expanding our college and we are right now have a new branch at Bihar. In the coming ten years we are planning to start a university which will help the students to get all the courses under one umbrella in a place like Giridih.
Any insights into how your college could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?
We at Subhash Institute of Technology are having different types of scholarships for different races and economic backgrounds so that our college can be more welcoming for them. We are providing scholarships to girl candidates, sportspersons and meritorious students.
What would you like people to know about your university they may not know?
At Subhash Institute of Technology there are different facilities that are available for the students. We have student support center and utility center, Wifi- enabled classroom with 15 spacious classrooms which consist of two smart classrooms. We have 06 laboratories for different streams which are available at the college. We have auditorium, seminar hall and library facilities to support the students during their complete tenure.
Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
For the students I would like to say that they must try to inculcate the knowledge that is being provided to them in their colleges, they must try to become employable rather than just getting the degree only and must try to be a good citizen so that they can contribute to the development of the nation.
