  • Dr. Bharat Bhasker

Dr. Bharat Bhasker has accepted a position as Board of Governor at Sparsh Global Business School (SGBS). Dr. Bhasker has 27 years of experience and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Dr. Bhasker is a B.Tech. from IIT and an accomplished author and presenter on the topics of information technology strategy, digital transformation and business process re-engineering. He has also written two books on the subjects of electronic commerce and online recommendation systems. He was a director at IIM-Ahmedabad and IIM-Raipur. He has also held executive positions at prestigious organizations, including Sybase, MDL Information System and Hughes Systique Corporation. He has won numerous accolades for his work in the field of IT education, including NASA's Research Productivity Award and Asia's Best Professor of IT Award.

  • Dr. Uday Balakrishnan

 Dr. Balakrishnan is a distinguished scholar with a Master's degree in Politics & International Law and a PhD from Karnataka University. He has held visiting fellowships at prestigious institutions such as the Centre for Contemporary Studies-IISc, National Institute of Advanced Study (NIAS), and the Central European University (CEU) Budapest (now in Vienna). Additionally, he is an accomplished Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, having served as Former Secretary, Govt. of India and the Indian Postal Services.

Dr. Balakrishnan's extensive experience includes heading two large staff training centers, serving as the administrative head of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc.) – Bengaluru, and advising India's premier art & cultural event, the Kochi Muziris Biennale. He is also a prolific columnist and book reviewer for some of India's finest newspapers.

  • Dr. Chandan Chowdhury

Dr. Chowdhury is a renowned professor with industry experience. He has been ISB's Senior Associate Dean and holds a double doctorate degree. His MS is from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Dr. Chowdhury specialises in innovation and technology-enabled corporate change. He worked as Dassault Systèmes' Vice President of Global Affairs and Business Development and IBM's Software Group Country Manager for 17 years before joining SGBS. He led digital transformation plans in India and nearby countries and helped the corporation expand across sectors. Dr. Chowdhury was the previous CEO and Director of IFS Solutions India Private Limited.

Dr. Chowdhury was also a professor and dean at NITIE. His expertise will help SGBS build a global talent pool in business management and entrepreneurship.

  • Shri Rama Subramaniam Gandhi

Mr. Gandhi has 37 years of experience in central banking, including his tenure as Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. Mr. Gandhi brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the institution. He has made significant contributions to the study of financial rules and the Indian economy and holds PG degrees in Management Information Systems and Capital Markets from The American University and City University of New York, respectively.

He has made major contributions to the financial industry in his roles as an independent director for a number of financial institutions and as a member of a number of bodies, including the Monetary Policy Committee and the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision.

  • Dr. Satya Narayan Mohanty 

 Dr. Mohanty is a former Secretary to the Government of India with an impressive educational background, including a Ph.D. in Economics, an M.Phil. and an LLB. He also holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management. He has served in three different ministries as Secretary to the Government of India and has led several organizations as their Chief Executive Officer. He is known for his innovative ideas and reforms, including introducing the ranking system for educational institutions and devising policy guidelines for Disaster Management.

  • Mr. Arvind Vasudeva 

With 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, where he has been a CEO with Aurobindo Pharma & MD with Sanmed Healthcare Private Limited to name a few of them.

Mr. Vasudeva has shown exceptional business acumen and strategic thinking. He has transformed companies through business and balance sheet restructuring, managed company acquisitions and mergers and built market-leading brands, for which he was awarded the "Udyog Ratna Award" by the Institute of Economic Studies. Apart from his executive experience, Mr. Vasudeva is a certified CEO/Executive Coach and has held leadership positions in various forums of the pharma industry and management institutes. We welcome him to SGBS, where he will contribute his extensive knowledge and experience to the school's growth and development.
