Dr. Madhu Singh is the Head of the Department of the B.A. program at Gautam Buddha Degree College. She holds a PhD in Education, an M.Ed. and a B.Ed. degree, along with two M.A. degrees in Geography and Sanskrit and an undergraduate degree in B.A. Dr. Madhu has attended 14 national and international level seminars, workshops, and webinars. Moreover, she has two chapters published in two books in her area of expertise.

As the Head of Department (HOD), I prioritised continuous professional development for myself and the faculty to effectively deliver the program. We are establishing partnerships with industry professionals and organisations to understand current trends and best practices in the arts sector. The college also provides ongoing training and workshops for faculty members to enhance teaching methodologies, incorporate innovative pedagogies, and integrate new technologies into the curriculum. We also encourage faculty collaboration and knowledge sharing through regular meetings, conferences, and peer-to-peer mentorship programs. We have implemented feedback mechanisms to gather input from students, alumni, and industry partners to continually improve the program's delivery and relevance.

Challenges included designing a balanced curriculum, securing resources, fostering industry partnerships, integrating technology, ensuring student engagement, and developing effective assessment methods. Overcoming these required collaborative efforts, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence. Through proactive problem-solving, we've enhanced the program to better serve students in the dynamic arts landscape.

Our students engage in diverse projects, including creative productions like theatre and film, community engagement initiatives, innovation labs exploring new technologies, and entrepreneurial ventures such as exhibitions and events.
