How do you establish healthy relations with the students?

Establishing healthy relationships with students is crucial in a college environment. To foster this, we take on a mentorship role, guiding and supporting students as and when required. Faculties, being more experienced and knowledgeable, act as facilitators and moral supporters for students when they encounter challenges. We encourage open and respectful communication, creating a space where students can share their concerns, questions, and ideas. By providing this guidance and mentorship, we aim to build a strong and trusting relationship with our students, fostering an environment of mutual respect and support.

Which factors make this program the best for the students to opt?

This programme stands out as the best choice for students due to the tremendous learning and growth opportunities it offers. It helps students discover their hidden talents and abilities, often unbeknownst to them. By recognising and nurturing these innate skills, students can harness their potential, practise and refine their abilities, and ultimately excel in their chosen careers. The programme empowers students to explore their unique strengths and unlock their full potential, making it an ideal choice for those looking to embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth.

Do you have any message for the students?

In polytechnics, there are numerous opportunities waiting to be explored, yet students often hesitate to take that first step. Some worry that the path to placements is long and challenging, or they may question their eligibility for quality jobs. Complicating matters, many parents who themselves lack a formal education hold outdated beliefs about polytechnics. This can significantly influence the decisions students make. It's crucial for everyone involved to understand that hard work can indeed lead to promising career opportunities. My advice to students and their families is simple: believe in and wholeheartedly support the dedicated efforts of our aspiring engineers.

What is your philosophy of leadership?

In my philosophy of leadership, I firmly believe that maintaining a calm and composed demeanour is essential when it comes to planning and executing tasks. I've always found that the most effective way to educate or help individuals comprehend complex subjects is through gentle, patient, and polite communication. It's important not to intimidate or raise one's voice, even though such behaviour is unfortunately prevalent in some leadership scenarios. Instead, I've learned that being approachable and treating people with kindness and respect is the most productive way to achieve our shared goals.

How do you bring in a practical and industry oriented approach towards subjects?

To bring a practical and industry-oriented approach to subjects, we focus on conducting a multitude of experiments aimed at enhancing students' subject knowledge. It's a widely acknowledged fact that concepts demonstrated through practical examples tend to stay in students' minds for longer. Recognising this need, we place significant emphasis on hands-on training. Students are encouraged to explore topics in-depth or tackle challenging areas through practical experimentation. Our well-equipped and high-quality labs play a crucial role in facilitating these practical experiments, ensuring that students develop a strong understanding of the subject matter.

Which extracurricular activities are organized in college to enhance the skills of students?

In our college, we prioritise the holistic development of our students, which includes co-curricular activities alongside academics. To enhance their skills and prepare them for the industry, we regularly organise a variety of events. These include seminars conducted by industry experts, workshops on emerging technologies, webinars to provide insights into various fields, and young talent search programs to recognise and nurture their talents. These activities go beyond textbooks, offering students a chance to apply their knowledge and learn practical, real-world skills.

What will you say are the best practices of the courses which you are offering in your institute?

The best practises of the courses we offer at our institute revolve around a commitment to aligning our programmes with industry standards and the goal of enhancing students' skills. We meticulously design our programmes to meet the evolving needs of industries and equip our students with practical, job-ready knowledge. Additionally, we frequently conduct talent search programs at the departmental level. These programs are designed to enrich students' knowledge, foster innovative thinking, and help them discover and cultivate new talents, making them well-rounded and highly competitive individuals in their chosen fields.
