What keeps you connected with the education sector and how has your experience been so far with the institute?

For nearly three decades, I have been actively engaged in the field of education. Dating back to my student days, I have harbored a profound fascination for the role of a teacher or professor. The prospect of imparting knowledge and guiding students has been a long-standing source of inspiration and captivation for me.

What is your philosophy of leadership?

In leadership, I believe being a leader means taking the first step and showing others how things are done. It's not just telling people what to do, but actually doing it yourself. Taking the lead is important because when others see you doing something, they're more likely to follow and see you as a leader.

What are your responsibilities towards the students?

As a teacher and department head, my main goals for students are twofold: first, to offer hands-on experience and encourage creative thinking; second, to keep them updated on the latest technologies.Today, learning isn't just about teachers. There's so much information available from social media, YouTube, and other sources. I believe students need mentors more than traditional teachers. Mentors guide and help students navigate through all this information and understand what's right and wrong. In this modern era, mentorship is more important than just teaching.

Which extracurricular activities are organized in your college to enhance the skills of students?

In our educational institution, we offer a diverse range of activities beyond regular academics. These can be categorized into two types: extracurricular and co-curricular activities. The extracurricular activities cover a broad spectrum, including sports, participation in various clubs like the Rotary Club, Rotary Active Activity, and collaborations with organizations like the Indoor Cancer Foundation Trust. Additionally, our students are actively engaged in initiatives supporting underprivileged children, such as the student-sponsored TriUps. There is a rich tapestry of more than 20 different extracurricular and co-curricular activities available within our university. Students have the liberty to choose based on their interests. Whether it's dance, finance clubs, sports, or participating in organizations like the National Cadet Corps (NCC), students are encouraged and facilitated to explore their passions and diverse interests.

What is the top priority of your college in the upcoming years?

At our university, students come first. We prioritize creating a great learning environment while also recognizing the need for teaching ethics and social values. It's crucial for students to not just study but also learn values, ethics, and morality. This not only enhances job prospects but also cultivates a positive atmosphere. We're committed to a student-centered approach, partnering with cutting-edge technology through our MOU. Our focus remains on a well-rounded education that includes not only academics but also essential values and ethics.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

In my view, the current generation faces rapid societal changes every decade or so. When young individuals reach college age, they often perceive it as a time of freedom after years of structured education. This phase becomes pivotal in their lives. I believe it's crucial for young adults to make the most of their college years, considering the choices they make during this period. With the prevalent influence of social media, gaming, and various technological advancements, it's evident that these elements impact their mental and physical well-being, as well as their ability to focus on studies.Maintaining balance is key. It's essential for individuals to lead a healthy and well-rounded life, even amidst these influences. Achieving this balance is crucial for their overall well-being.
