Mr. Vajrala Narsi Reddy is a distinguished academician and able administrator with more than 11 years of experience. He has grown from the ranks right here in the institute, starting his teaching career as Lecturer in the year 2012. Prior to assuming the position of the Vice Principal, he was the HOD in Malineni Perumallu Educational Society's Group of Institutions, Guntur. He obtained his Master’s Degree (Power Electronics) from JNTU, Kakinada and B.Tech Degree (ECE) from ASR College of Engineering, Tanuku. He has published 06 research papers in various reputed National and International journals, besides a couple of patents to his credit. In his impressive teaching and administrative career, he has consistently promoted innovative teaching practices and imaginative thinking. He has endeared himself to his students and colleagues alike through his affable nature and empathetic leadership style. He has attended 10 workshops till now.

When you first came to HCET, what was your vision for the college ? Has it evolved over time, and how far along in implementing that vision are you?

When I first came to HCET, my vision for the college was to enhance its reputation as a center of academic excellence, innovation, and industry engagement. Over time, this vision has evolved to emphasize a more student-centric and inclusive learning environment, fostering holistic development and nurturing well-rounded individuals. We have made significant progress in implementing this vision, focusing on improving infrastructure, curriculum, and faculty development. Moreover, we have forged stronger ties with industries to provide practical exposure and research opportunities for our students. While we have achieved several milestones, we recognize that continuous improvement is essential, and we remain dedicated to reaching our ultimate goal of becoming a globally recognized institution of excellence in engineering education and research. We will continue to adapt and evolve, ensuring that our students are well-prepared to meet the challenges of the future with confidence and competence.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see, both for higher education in general and for HCET specifically?

In higher education, some of the biggest challenges are staying updated with rapidly evolving technologies, ensuring accessibility to quality education for all, and meeting the diverse demands of students and industries. Similarly, for HCET, we face the task of continuously improving our infrastructure, maintaining a diverse and inclusive campus community, and aligning our curriculum with industry needs. These challenges present opportunities for growth and improvement, and we are committed to addressing them with a student-centric approach and collaborative efforts from all stakeholders.

I would like to suggest students to pursue passions, stay curious, embrace challenges, and make a positive impact on society.
