When you first came to Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies, what was your vision for the university? Has it evolved over time, and how far along in implementing that vision are you?

My passion lies in connecting people, promoting diversity, and contributing to developing a well-rounded educational environment. My expertise lies in navigating the complexities of international relations and ensuring a seamless integration of diverse perspectives within the academic landscape.

What would you like people to know about your university they may not know?

One of the biggest challenges in higher education is student retention and completion rates. At Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies, we have taken several measures and worked hard at addressing these challenges. We have improved our retention rates, and all our students graduate on time with flying marks. Another challenge is the problem of retaining well-qualified faculty members, which we address by providing them opportunities to grow career-wise.

What do you see as Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies greatest strengths?

Our college aims to provide a healthy educational environment for students. To promote and protect the mental health of our students, we have a programme in our respective departments that educates students on coping techniques. We also keep on organising workshops for students to upskill them and arm them with the knowledge they need to work in the industry.

What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next 10 years?

There are many challenges that higher education is facing nowadays. Everyone wants to earn money as early as possible. Over the next decade, I would just suggest students to pursue higher education as it provides them with a base of knowledge and skills that make them eligible for a variety of job opportunities, careers, and even entrepreneurship.

The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute/ university/ school?

The biggest advantage of studying at our institute is that we help students with placements. We organise a job fair at our campus every year. The Rashtriya Job Fair for 2022 saw 1800 plus registered students. Out of the total registered students, over 800 were placed. Many MNCs, like Aditya Birla, Axis Bank, Byju’s, Mahindra, ICICI, HCL, and many more, marked their presence on the campus.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies?

To establish healthy relations at our campus, we pay attention to our student’s issues and mental health. We promote and encourage our students to use their creative talents and take part in competitions. Our department deals with the navigation and complexities of international relations in order to provide the best education and jobs for students and faculty members.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

I would advise students to take part in research and publish their research papers, as it will help in their careers. Network and attend workshops and conferences in your area of interest. We also provide international exposure to students, which they must take advantage of. XeniuM International 4.0 was our international fest to provide students with a stage where they can sharpen their skills and talents at the international level.

What advice would you give to someone who is interested in pursuing a career in higher education administration and how do you see the field evolving in the years to come?

I would say our college provides modern and state-of-the-art facilities to students. Right from admission to placement, our faculty members are always present to guide students and help them with every difficulty. We provide an international platform for students to share their knowledge with students from different countries and learn new things.
