Dr. Sameer Kumar is the Head of the Management department at Lucknow Public College Of Professional Studies. He holds a Ph.D. in Commerce degree. He has an overall experience of 14 years in the teaching field. His research interests include Applied Statistics, Statistical Tool and Technique in Research.

What is the latest program that you are offering in your institute/ dept. which will help students outperform and stand apart from the crowd?

We provide professional courses and along with degree programs we also provide value added courses, which help students in learning something new and extra.

What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for?

We provide professional courses, and our department has various courses. Along with that we provide career guidance to students as well. Our college provides international exposure to students as well.

What are the best practices in the course you’re offering?

Our college works with individual students. Every session we have some best practices. One of the best practices that our college implemented was village adoption.

What are some valuable insights of the program that you are offering at your institute/ dept.?

In our college, we provide students every opportunity to sharpen their skills and talents. We aim at holistic development of students and for that purpose we have different clubs of talents as well.

How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

As I told you about talent clubs. These clubs include various activities such as dance, art, sports, artificial intelligence and we focus on an individual and we consider the performance of a student. So there are exams as well.

How did you train yourself/faculty to deliver this program to the students?

Our institute/ department provides a learning environment to the Faculty members through Faculty Development Programme, Seminar & Workshop that has been conducted throughout the year.

How do you tend to build an industry connection with this program?

Our college has ties with many MNCs. LPCPS organizes Rashtriya Job Fest every year and this year we have Rashtriya Job Fest 2024, on 24th February 2024. Many MNCs like Aditya Birla, Axis Bank, Byju’s, Mahindra, ICICI, HCL, and many more come to this fest.

What were the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program in your curriculum?

Challenges that we have faced are diverse educational backgrounds of students, limited resources at their place. Sometimes, providing students with real-world exposure through internships, industry projects, and guest lectures can be challenging, especially if there are limited industry collaborations.

What are the types of projects that the students are working on through this program?

A Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree can offer a range of career prospects in various fields. Students pursuing MBA go for higher post in big companies. Students prepare research papers, projects and we have talent clubs and we also give career guidance to students to prepare them for interviews and many other things. 

What are the benefits and career options after pursuing this course?

The skills and knowledge acquired during a BBA program prepare graduates for roles in business, management, and related areas.
