Commerce is all about money and investment. From non-professional to professional courses, our department has various courses. Along with that we provide career guidance to students as well. We have talent clubs for students and also initiate big practices to inculcate values in students.

What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for?

The college’s approach is towards holistic development of its students, creation of a global knowledge ecosystem through innovations, research and development, substantial industry exposure, good placement opportunities and great infrastructure and fantastic results makes one opt for this institution. Our college provides international exposure as students are provided a stage to showcase their talent and learn as well.

What are the best practices in the course you’re offering?

Our college works with individual students. Every session we have some best practices. One of the best practices that our college implemented was Village adoption and Higher Education Awareness Program. Our college recognizes social responsibility therefore with a purpose to raise awareness about higher education and promote it, the institute organized a practice.

What are some valuable insights of the program that you are offering at your institute/ dept.?

In our college, we provide students every opportunity to sharpen their skills and talents. We aim at holistic development of students and for that purpose we have different clubs of talents as well. We provide students the facility to publish their research papers and also conduct seminars and workshops for them. We had 3 days International Conference on "SMART INNOVATIVE MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY FOR GREEN AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (IC-SIMTGSD 2024)" from 18th – 20th January 2024.

How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

As I mentioned earlier about talent clubs, these clubs cover a wide range of topics such as dance, arts, sports, AI, etc. We focus on the individual and we take performance into account throughout a student’s performance. So, there are exams as well.

Our institute provides a learning environment to the Faculty members through Faculty Development Programme. Seminars and workshops are also organized. We have well qualified faculty members.

How do you tend to build an industry connection with this program?

LPCPS organizes Rashtriya Job Fest every year and this year we have Rashtriya Job Fest 2024, on 24th February 2024. Many MNCs like Aditya Birla, Axis Bank, Byju’s, Mahindra, ICICI, HCL and many more come to this fest. XeniuM International 4.0 was the international fest with the aim of providing students a stage where they can sharpen their skills and talents at international level.

What were the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program in your curriculum?

Challenges that we have faced are diverse educational backgrounds of students, limited resources at their place. Sometimes, providing students with real-world exposure through internships, industry projects, and guest lectures can be challenging, especially if there are limited industry collaborations. Integrating soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, into a predominantly technical curriculum can also be one of the challenges.

What are the types of projects that the students are working on through this program?

A Commerce degree provides a broad understanding of various aspects of commerce, business, and finance. Students prepare their projects, research papers and learn new things throughout.

What are the benefits and career options after pursuing this course?

Graduates with a Commerce degree have diverse career prospects in different industries such as Accounting and Auditing, Finance and Banking, Marketing and Sales, Human Resources (HR), Management and Administration, Entrepreneurship, E-commerce and Digital Marketing, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Public Relations and Communications, Taxation and Financial Planning and Government and Non-profit Organizations.
