IPE

You held key positions at various prestigious institutions throughout your career. What is that one thing that made you excited and walk with IPE in the journey?

The most significant thing I would say is that IPE possesses a unique and uncommon amalgamation of four distinct verticals within its faculty. These verticals encompass teaching, training, consultancy, and research, which collectively contribute to the institution’s comprehensive and multifaceted approach towards education and professional development.

The combination of these four verticals - within the faculty of IPE creates a holistic and dynamic educational ecosystem. It allows students to receive a well-rounded education that not only equips them with academic knowledge but also with practical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of industry dynamics.

Can you share your approach to teaching and mentoring students in the International Business program, especially in developing their technical skills and industry knowledge?

As a faculty, I always take the experience from MDP training, consulting assignments, research projects and articles to teach. I involve the students in the research projects that I do so that the case method of teaching is practiced. Every student of the IB program gets a personal mentor, throughout his course period, This enables the students to have one-on-one guidance and support in all ways at a personal level by understanding them closely.

How do you plan to ensure that the curriculum of the IPE program reflects the latest global business trends, challenges, and opportunities?

We constantly interact with the industry, alumni, and academicians of global universities. Interacting with the industry is crucial for staying updated with the latest trends, technologies, and practices in various fields. These interactions can take several forms including guest lectures, internships and industry projects etc. Through all these interactions we ensure that academic programs remain relevant to current industry needs, enhancing graduate’s employability.

Our students have also visited Rotterdam Port, Port Klang, European Union Head Quarters etc. Our Summer Internship Project Division ensures multiple internship projects for IB students and every student gets an opportunity to spend 2 months with the industry to get practical exposure. Besides that, we organize industry lecture series as well.

What is something a PGDM International Business aspirant can expect from joining IPE?

Our PGDM-IB program is designed to offer an overall understanding of both domestic and international business operations. This typically includes courses in areas such as international marketing, global supply chain management, cross-cultural management, international finance, and global business strategy. We have a power-packed curriculum that covers the latest trends and developments in international business. This ensures that graduates are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of the global marketplace. The PGDM-IB program can provide a gateway to envious national and international placements.

How do you plan to encourage research and scholarly activities among faculty members and students in the PGDM International Business program?

IPE promotes an excellent research culture encouraging faculty to publish in ADBC SCOPUS and Web of Science-indexed journals and incentivizes faculty who publish. IPE also encourages faculty to apply for various funded research projects and most of the faculty members are involved in prestigious research projects.

What initiatives would you introduce to support networking and professional development opportunities for students in the program, such as international conferences or guest speaker events?

Students are encouraged to participate in International conferences and IPE facilitates industry interactions. IPE sponsors give meritorious students the entire cost of participation and travel etc. IPE's approach of encouraging student participation in integrational conferences, facilitating industry interactions, and sponsoring meritorious students reflects a holistic commitment to their educational and professional development. These initiatives not only enrich students’ academic experiences but also prepare them for success in their chosen fields by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to excel. Furthermore, the institution’s commitment to financial inclusivity ensures that all deserving students have equal access to these transformative experiences.
