Dr. A. Suresh Rao, is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering and was conferred with the Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science & Engineering from NIT Warangal, in the year 2015. He is currently the Vice Principal, Dean of Academics and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at TKRCET. His experience spans over a period of 20 years: 02 years in the Industry and 18 Years in Teaching. Under his guidance more than 40 students have undergone project training at UG level and 20 students at PG level. He has 15 International and National Publications to his credit. He provides consultancy for various Government Bodies and Private firms in developing the required software for their automation and also holds one patent in the publishing state.
What is the latest program that you are offering in TKR College of Engineering and Technology that will help students outperform and stand apart from the crowd?
The TKR College of Engineering and Technology was established with the objective of imparting Quality Education in line with the existing emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Data Science. The curriculum is designed in such a way that it caters to the need of students to gain knowledge in Multidisciplinary areas and focus on innovative thinking. In this direction, the institution has introduced Courses through undergraduate program like CSE (AI & ML), CSE (DS), Post Graduate Programmes like M.Tech (VLSI Design), M.Tech (Robotics and Automation).
What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for?
The objectives of the new courses introduced are to enrich the student's knowledge across emerging technologies, which support them in building or developing feasible solutions. The design curriculum for the new course emphasizes new skill sets that are introduced for developing or building feasible solutions.
What will you say are the “best practices” in the course you’re offering?
The best practice inculcated under the guidance of the Quality Assurance cell is Pragmatic engineering. The phenomenon of Pragmatic engineering focuses on project-based learning, which is more in practice for the new courses than existing ones.
What are some valuable insights from the program that you are offering at your institute?
The new programmes offered are in view of disseminating knowledge about emerging technologies, in this direction Activity-based learning through industry is designed to gain real-time and valuable insights.

What are you most proud of in your career so far?
Choosing the noble profession of being a teacher and acquiring the highest degree from a centrally funded institute makes me feel proud.
What strategy do you employ for building an efficient work team?
Effective Communication with peers, motivating them to adhere to the frame of calendar prepared in consensus with Heads, and Deans to accomplish the academic and curricular activities.
What was the most challenging task that you faced in your career so far, and what did you learn from it?
The Environment of the education system holds only mundane tasks rather than challenging ones, as such, there are many mundane tasks that have been addressed and resolved as a part of administrative and academic practices, especially when the student is admitted in the first year of engineering course, without any awareness about engineering undergraduate programme.
What do you find most difficult about being a Vice-Principal and Dean?
The responsibilities of the vice principal are to support and share the regular administrative activities associated with the principal, so there is no difficulty in shouldering the responsibility. The responsibilities of the Dean is to plan and execute the academic practices that cater to the needs of student engaged in learning through different activities.
What is your Vision for TKR College of Engineering and Technology in the next Five years?
The vision for TKR College of Engineering and Technology is to endeavor to impart quality education with ethical values and strive to make students technically competent to reach heights and make our nation self-reliant and globally recognized.
