What factors make this program the best for the students to opt for?
See for any engineering student, the aim is to get placed in the top MNCs. The first priority is to improve the skills. See, basically in any college the training and placements main motto is to upskill the students. Academics are completely different from the industry requirements. In academics, they’ll cover all the basic subjects that are required to enhance their skills, right? But you know that the market expectations are completely different and the academics may not meet their expectations.
What are the best practices in this course you are offering?
Earlier we used to give training to our students in the final year, however now we slowly moved our training program to three years, and apart from that what we’re doing is along with this basic CRT kind of training like where students will learn aptitude, reasoning, verbal and technical knowledge, we are also giving training in advanced technologies like cybersecurity, AWS, GCP, Salesforce, Pega. So we are providing all this training in all these technologies and along with that. We have made some subjects a part of academics and students need to clear the subjects and we are assigning some grades also.
How does the program ensure the best that students are being prepared for the future?
You know as I have already mentioned we not only give the training to students, but we make them attend the exams. That’s why we are allocating some credit systems to this course. Then only students will take it seriously. Otherwise, you know they’ll just come to the classes, listen and they won’t take it seriously and they won’t prepare after reaching home.

How do you tend to build an industry connection with the program?
See as we have a separate training and placement cell, so as a part of training we are providing all the courses and the technologies that the industry is expecting. We also have a separate placement unit that helps us to connect with all the companies. And not only that, you know, we are also reaching companies by participating in their hackathons because that is the only platform where we can prove our technology skills.
What are the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program into your curriculum?
So initially we face a lot of challenges. As you know, we are located in the rural part of Andhra Pradesh. The main challenge that we face is to see the technical students do good in their careers. Yeah, academics are good. However, the major challenge that we faced was their communication skills. So we tried hard initially. You know, we brought so many changes in the curriculum. Even after taking some soft skill classes or verbal ability classes, students are listening to them but they are failing to implement when it comes to the placements or maybe in their exams. So this is the major area where we face a lot of challenges.
What are the types of projects that the students are working on this program through this program?
We are collectively working on building some projects and we are making the students become a part of hackathons and innovation challenges. So, recently in the Unisys program, our students got 4th place, and all the students were offered INR 9,00,000 CTC right.
What are the benefits and career options after pursuing this course?
As I stated earlier, you know that placement is not only the major criterion, right? See if we give enough skills to the student, he/ she won’t fail in his/ her career. Even if we fail to bring a good company to the college, with skills, they can go out of the college and can sell themselves.
