How the 2025 Cycle Compared
The B.Ed CET is one of Bihar's largest state-level entrance tests in terms of applicants. The nodal university also rotates between BRABU (Muzaffarpur) and Lalit Narayan Mithila University (Darbhanga) across cycles.
| Parameter | 2025 Cycle | 2026 Cycle |
|---|---|---|
| Nodal University | LNMU, Darbhanga | BRABU, Muzaffarpur |
| Total applications | 2,08,818 candidates | To be released after window closes |
| Total seats | 37,300 across 341 colleges | Over 35,000 across 14 universities |
| Participating universities | 14 | 14 |
Bihar's B.Ed admission is the only mandatory route for candidates planning to apply for state government teacher recruitment drives like the BPSC TRE. With TRE 4.0 notified for 44,000+ vacancies, a 2026-admitted B.Ed candidate becomes eligible to apply for the next major recruitment wave by 2028 — making this entrance especially significant for aspiring teachers.
