How the 2025 Cycle Compared

The B.Ed CET is one of Bihar's largest state-level entrance tests in terms of applicants. The nodal university also rotates between BRABU (Muzaffarpur) and Lalit Narayan Mithila University (Darbhanga) across cycles.

Parameter 2025 Cycle 2026 Cycle
Nodal University LNMU, Darbhanga BRABU, Muzaffarpur
Total applications 2,08,818 candidates To be released after window closes
Total seats 37,300 across 341 colleges Over 35,000 across 14 universities

Why This Cycle Matters

Bihar's B.Ed admission is the only mandatory route for candidates planning to apply for state government teacher recruitment drives like the BPSC TRE. With TRE 4.0 notified for 44,000+ vacancies, a 2026-admitted B.Ed candidate becomes eligible to apply for the next major recruitment wave by 2028 — making this entrance especially significant for aspiring teachers.
